1997 Chevy Tahoe. Emerald green exterior with gray cloth interior. 124,000 miles. 4X4. electric windows and doorlocks. No sunroof. Truck has remote start feature. Awesome in the cold weather to start your truck from inside the house and let it warm up! Car enthusiast owned. Very good condition. You will be hard pressed to find one this nice. A few scratches here and there, some chips and very few dings. One good sized door ding, though. Original paint except for the back barn doors. They were repaired by the previous owner. I dont know anything about the accident that shows up on carfax. But I can tell you that the rear doors are the only re-painted panels, with no other issues. The bumper might have been replaced since it is like new. The rear quarters have not been touched, and the truck does not appear to be touched underneath. So, it appears to have been a low MPH accident. Bumpers are very clean with no rust. The front hood was showing signs of minor rust underneath at the seam. I had it professionally repaired so that it wouldnt work its way to the exterior. You can see the red oxide paint in the photos. They coated the fender rails (you have to raise the hood to see it) as well as a preventative measure (the paint was wearing down in the channel, see photo). Tires are matching BF Goodrich Long Trail M+S, and 80% tread left. The tires have zero repairs on them. Wheels are alloy and in good shape ( road rash on only one rim). The truck panels are in very good conditon with no rust. The tape pinstriping started to come off, so I had the detailers remove it. It left a color mark, so you might want to restripe it with the tape. Some light fading of the clearcoat here and there, but no blisters anywhere. Underbody is clean, with no significant rust. I installed a brand new stock CD player with AUX (ipod) JACK (see pic). Sounds good, but one speaker is bad (driver door tweeter). Carpets are clean, except for some staining near the barn doors from previous leak, and some dirt near the doors. Seats are near perfect, in very good shape, with no rips or stains. Driver seat has lombar support. Non smoking owners. The plastic console latch is broken, but operates fine. No smells at all. No leaks. Tinted windows, windows have no chips or spiders. Regularly serviced. Newer fuel pump (common repair), newer battery, recently tuned. All receipts available. Car was just detailed. One of the belts is a little squeaky. Brakes work good, but light chatter during hard braking at high speed. Brakes were replaced at 105,000 or so. Also, the remote key does not always open the barn doors for some reason. Remote start is great! This truck is in very good shape for its age. Those who know believe these are some of the best trucks ever made, and will last a long time with care and maintenance. This truck has 1/2 its life left. Runs straight down the road, climbs over anything with ease and is very comfortable and easy to drive. 4x4 switches are new. Operates in 4WD very nicely, and rides straight in 4WD. We just bought an Escalade ESV for more room, so I would like to give this to someone who appreciates it. Panel Condition: Drivers fender: 1" scratch, drivers door: 2 small dings, driver side rear door: 2 small scratches. Driver side quarter: one good sized ding (see photo). Rear barn doors: repainted, a few chips. Passinger side quarter: 6" light scratch. Passinger side rear door: 3 small dings. Passinger side front door: 16" light scratch. Passinger side fender: 2" scratch. Hood: 5 super small dings.There you have it. A very clean 97 Tahoe 4x4. Super comfy and good mechanically. I use Mobil 1 but not sure of the previous owner. If you are particular, you will appreciate this one. If you are fussy, you should re-tape the pinstripes (in silver), replace the drivers door speaker, and replace the back carpet. Thats about all!
