Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is my 1986 Volkswagen Cabriolet. This is without a doubt one of the cleanest Mk1 Rabbits of any kind around. No rust whatsoever, great looking paint, always stored in a heated garage, mechanically sound, brand new convertible top, reupholstered interior, euro bumpers, and more. This is the 7th Mk1 VW I have owned, and I only buy the cleanest and best I can find. I purchased this particular car from a VW specialist mechanic in LA who had owned the car personally.I've had my fun with the Cabriolet, but the time has come to get another toy/project. Car will be smogged for any CA buyer. Be prepared to enjoy the sun and gets lots of thumbs up from fellow motorists if you are the high bidder. :) Good: Strong running 1.8L 8v motor with 162,236 milesSmooth shifting 5 spd manual transmissionNew cold start valve 07/2012New alternator 02/2013Full tuneup 02/2013New convertible top 05/2012. No leaks!!9/10 Paint conditionCA car. ZERO rust anywhere! All gauges, wipers, and lights work properly.Ride quality is excellent.Bad:Rear most engine mount will need to be replaced at some point in the near future. Nothing urgent though. A/C does not work. Living in San Diego this is not an issue for me, and this car is meant to be enjoyed with the top down anyway!Heat works, but is not quite as strong as the heat in other Mk1 VWs I have owned. Again, living in San Diego it was not a priority for me to fix considering I only drive the car about 5,000 miles a year or less.
