Vehicle Detail

Project Corvette has 40k original miles... This is a very complete 81 Vette with very little body damage to address. Here is the story with this car. I had been on a multi-year restoration of a 80 Corvette that had extensive Body damage and I found this car on Craigslist in Boston for $2800.00 so I figured I would buy this car and use it as a donor for my project. Problem was, I got it home and when I realized how complete this car is coupled with the low mileage, I could not do it so I have had in the garage and covered for 2 years and now I need the space. This car ran when I got it "but" it needed a fuel pump and the rubber power steering hoses were shot so they leaked badly. The car is not currently running as I have disconnected the carb as I was about to get started to restore this car too but my other project is not done and I just bought another car over the weekend so it has to do (the CAR NEEDS VERY LITTLE to be running again, the engine is perfectly fine, low mileage NUMBERS MATCHING car).. Anyway, the original color of this car was beige with a tan interior and someone put a bad coat of burgandy over that and dyed the interior to Grey. The front fender had the paint stripped and I went ahead and stripped the tops, hood, right door and the fenders and quarters as I wanted to get a good look at the fiberglass all around and I was very pleasantly surprised. You can see the original bonding seem from the factory in each fender and quarter. The only spot on the car that had a repair was the driver side quarter.. I grinded out all of the filler over the repair to get a good look at the damage and it is pretty clear to me that in no way shape or form does this rear quarter need to be repaced.. The fiberglass repair can be done a little better followed by epoxy sealer and thats it... This car was last on the road in 1990! it sat around in Texas and a guy shipped it up to Boston with the idea of restoring it and never got aroung to it and it sat for a long time before I got to it. Like I said the engine is all there, all the original smog equipment, all the AC Equipment and all the hoses.. Really this thing had not been touched, mechanically. The wheels are very nice.. I bought the wheels and tires at a car show last summer and recently put them on.. The tires are nearly new and have almost all the tread. I paid $500 for these wheels and tires. The frame is straight, solid and very very clean of bumps, bruises and dents.. The frame has surface rust only. The car needs a restoration no-doubt but this is an EXCELLENT opportunity.. This car with this miles is 15k any day of the week, you will not lose money on this. ALSO, I Have MANY parts to complete this car that I am willing to sell seperately including rebuilt trailing arms, all four A-Arms (rebuilt), 4 rebuilt Calipers, Glass T-Tops, new Power Steering equipment and much much more. I will sell the parts seperate and at a fraction of what you would pay anywhere else so you can get a big head start on this project by taking all that I have acquired for this car as well.... Also, I have a Black exterior / Tan Interior Correct 81 Trim tag that I can provide with this car. You can put the trim tag on and paint it black if you like (that was my plan anyway)... The dash pad has no cracks.. This car is a complete - legit corvette to restore. I have ground up restored two of these cars myself and currently have 4 Corvettes. I know a lot about these cars and know for sure this is a great candidate for restoration (or you an buy and take it apart and sell the parts and still make money on this..). Title is clear and in-hand. Please feel free to ask any questions. Please remember when bidding, I will not have this car running upon auction close so it will have be towed
