Vehicle Detail
2003 Ford F150 Bi-Fuel (CNG and gasoline) If you prefer not to read this long vehicle description, just read this: This truck is nearly new in every possible way. Before you place a single bid on my truck, let me help you conduct a useful experiment. Visit Ford dealership near you and test drive one F150 with only very basic options. Then ask your dealer how much would cost to convert that test truck into a bi-fuel vehicle. After you get the answer, come back home and take a good long look at my truck. The truck has only 28,550 miles and is in superb shape. The best part is: the CNG conversion for 2003 F150 does not have COMPUVALVE. This troublesome part has been replaced by a simpler, cheaper, and more reliable single solenoid valve (look at the engine pictures). Details: Simply put, the truck is awesome. This is not just any F150, but the heavy duty version called 7700 Heritage edition. The 7700 has beefier suspension, high torque differential, HD transmission, it can carry more, it can pull more, and, on top of all, it is a DUAL FUEL truck. This is the 7700 GVWR version of the venerable F150. Call Boba 661-533-9331 More details: Why do I call it awesome? - It has 28,500 miles - Truck was garaged; no sun burns, no color fading, no cracks - Truck was religiously well maintained - Truck is in great condition both mechanically and aesthetically - Super tight automatic transmission - This truck was never used for any kind of heavy work. The clear coat still present in the truck bed. - Strong and flawless 5.4 Triton V8 engine - Nearly new battery - All 5 Goodyear Wrangler tires are good. - ABS - AC works perfectly well. - No fancy equipment. No power locks, no power windows, nor power seats… - The truck was not driven off road. The paint inside the wheel wells is still in good shape. - The CNG fuel system was inspected in Jan. 2013 Call Boba 661-533-9331 About the CNG -The CNG system was designed by GFI Systems. The CNG conversion cost around $9,000. Call me to find out more about the CNG conversions. - CNG tank was made by the Faber company. - Tank Volume = 152l = 40gal = 11.2 gge - System pressure 3600psi Boba 661-533-9331 Why use CNG? - At the moment in Los Angeles area, Gasoline Gallon Equivalent (gge) of CNG cost between $1.20 to $3.There quite a few stations with the price of $2 per gge of CNG. - CNG burns super cleanly. It Does not leave any deposits in the cylinders or on the valves. Therefore, CNG engines have a long and trouble free life. - There are more and more CNG stations all around the country. Call me to learn how to find them. Boba 661-533-9331 Range This truck has gigantic range. In ideal conditions (freeway driving at 60-65mph), this truck can run for: 750 or more miles In normal driving, the range is: 620 - 650 miles. In city driving, the range is: 550 - 600 miles Depending on fill up pressure, a full CNG tank will last for about 150 to 220 miles of open road. The other day, I filled up the tank with 11.2 gge of CNG and then drove the truck on open road for 227 miles. This means that this truck gets 20 miles per gallon if driven at 65-70 miles per hour. Note: Most CNG fueling stations will not fill up the 11.2 gallon tank with 11.2 gge of CNG. The station I used had a compressor that applied the trickle fill for the last one-two gallons. Most likely you already know that in advertising everybody embellishes the virtues of their own horse. This horse of mine does not need embellishment. Come see this truck and verify my description.
