This is the famed Montesa VR or Velkonen Replica 250 of which only 2500 were ever built! I consider this to be the most beautiful Motocross bike that has ever been built. I rebuilt this bike at no expense , complete motor rebuild , rod , Tarabusi correct piston ,bearings ,seals , even the notorious bronze bushings,the ignition cover is nos, this motor is perfect . original seat pan and foam which is as firm as the day it left the factory and I don't mean hard stale foam, seat cover is custom made to the original specs. The wheels were sent to Buchanan's and relaced to Excel rims with new spokes and hubs polished.The side plates are original and not reproduction the front number plate is a reproduction out of fiberglass but is correct in shape. Airbox, carb boots are all perfect. The pipe was custom made by Pro Form . New sprockets and chain . Fenders are the true opaque plastic like the factory bikes of the time, and last but not least is the BRAND NEW TANK which has never had fuel in it , I purchased this from South West Montesa when he had located couple in Spain years ago. This bike has been my Picasso at my home and on display to enjoy , it has never been ridden or started ,not to say that it couldn't it would just be a shame.
