1972 Maico MC400 Radial Barn find. Actually better, it's been stored in a warehouse for the past 15 or so years. Missing pipe and kick start lever. also needs a spark plug connector and air filter. Has compression, engages all four gears. Compression is adaquate to skid the rear tire on our painted concrete floor in all four gears. Piston can be seen through the exhaust port. It shows some wear but the rings and cylinder bore look very servicable. The bike is extremely original with the fibreglass fenders and tank, Girling shocks and even what could be the original Metzeler tires. Rims are straight but developing some rust. Original bolted crossbar handlebars and even the original kill button are there. Guessing the bike is very low time as all of the normal wear points are still in good shape. The tank corners and frame show little signs of paint wear. The seat cover has a couple of tears but I think the foam should be usable. All in all this bike is a perfect starting point for a show bike restoration or competitive race bike. I have more photos and will send them all in full-sized format upon request. I have no title for this bike but will supply a California Bill of Sale.
