This is a nice BJ8 3000. This car is 1 of 1390 made. Car was restored in 1992, driven very little since then. red/black, manual transmission, seat belts, wire wheels, MKIII phase 1 car, BJ8. Coolant/oil/diff fluid just changed. Rear brakes and p/s axle seal replaced. New voltage regulator also done. Car is a nice driver. Austin Healey Car is located at our shop in Columbus, Ohio. The car had very minimal rust and still has its original trunk floor, inner sills and floor boards (except the passenger toe board). The front and rear fenders had repair panels installed using the butt-weld process. The weld seam was hammered, then filed and cannot be detected. NOS rocker panels were used to provide the correct shape. All panel fits are very good. This car is much better than a “driver” but is not quite detailed to concours standards Chrome: New bumper bars front and rear, door top chrome molding left and right, fender flash left and right, fender beading all four, headlight rings left and right, door handle one side, trunk handle, trunk hinge pair, trunk emblems, retainer rings for signal lights and knock-off hubs. Rechromed grille oval and eyebrow. The rest is original and in very good condition. Doors: New weather seals, aluminum trim panels, latch plates and black beading at edge of shut plate. Engine: New rings and bearings, per the machine shop that is all it needed. Exhaust: New original style with the correct type of clamps installed in 1999 from front to rear. Interior: New rear panels and carpet (carpet snaps in and is made as original using cut pile instead of hogs hair). Recovered dash top, console, arm rest and door top arm rest, The rest of the interior was in such good condition that only a few panels were replaced in the front seats. Dash was stripped and refinished. Rubber: Hood buffers, grommets, truck handle and hinges, door handles, truck lid, rear bumper to body, over riders, hood seal above carbs. Top: New Everflex top (as original) and weather seals. Top bows repainted. Transmission: New clutch, pressure plate, throw-out bearing, balk rings and layshaft. Trunk: New lining, spare tire strap, battery cover and battery tray. Wire Harness: Loomed with correct cloth and tracer color. Wire Wheels: Chrome 72 spoke (4) with a 60 spoke painted as a spare.
