I laid a flat piece of vinyl underneath the split and it is not very noticeable for a driver level carBack seat needs reupholstery frayed at the top of the seat where meets convertible top well wall (you can live with it like I have for a driver car though)Pontiac 2+2 door panels are good, but armrests need to be recoveredRed carpet is tired, but not gross - the red carpet mats are newer and look goodTransmission shifts wellHas new Lokar Cable Shift Linkage to clear headers : http://www.jegs.com/i/Lokar/625/ACA-1804/10002/-1?CAWELAID=1710859646&catargetid=1784157977&&cagpspn=pla&gclid=CLqzorD4lrUCFbSnPAodx1oAGQThe linkage needs a little adjustment because there is a vague feeling at shifter between gears, works fine though2400 Stall speed B&M holeshot torque converter works really well with the 3.23 posi rearend gears and the torque of the stout 462 engineThe front end suspension is good, but not the tightest feeling - when steering wheel is maxed out clockwise to the right and a turn is taken with any incline, you can hear the tire rub on somethingHEI distributor works very wellA couple of years ago put lucas stop leak in power steering (in response to a leak) and it has been good since, but may need attention at some pointTrunk has some pinholes and soft spots, but I would just leave it. I did hit it with rust inhibitor and paint a few years ago. I suppose it would be good to do the same from the accessible bottom at some pointFrame is goodMufflers are Walker #17749 Dynomax According to Jim Hand in How to Build Max Performance Pontiac V-8s, these 20" mufflers offer the best blend of performance, sound and least resistance.
