The previous owner had it since 2006 and said he had only good luck with it. It's a Sport model 4x4, bulletproof 4.0 that everyone loves, all power interior, everything works, runs and drives nicely and has brand new 31" tires with a 2" front/rear leveling kit. The Jeep looks presentable and it's priced to sell. These are great utility vehicles and simply do not break. exterior The paint and body on this guy are pretty good for the age and mileage. It's not new or perfect, but it looks presentable and it's priced accordingly. The paint has been recently waxed, nice gloss, trim isn't all faded, windshield is brand new, and there's no obvious body damage. The wheels had the paint touched up and look fine, tires are new 31x10.50 15s, not cheap. We did a 2" block in the rear and ZJ V8 springs in the front to accommodate the bigger tires. The Jeep has some normal lacquer checking on the passenger side and tailgate. The roof isn't bad and cracking up like so many of this vintage. It has the typical rust spot on the passenger lower door seam and upper window corner on the roof. It's really not noticeable and the vehicle hasn't seen road salt since 2002, so it's not all rusty underneath. There's some small nicks about the body, small crease in the passenger front door, lots of little chips in the front end, and some wear on the rockers. It's an older black 4x4 with mileage, the photos do document it well. interior The interior is in good shape. It was dirty when we received it, so the carpet and upholstery has been pulled out, everything cleaned, pressure washed, sit to dry out for 3 days, and re-assembled. We're thorough about our detail here and it came up very nice. The vehicle hasn't been smoked in for at least 7 years. It does have the vinyl worn on the drivers seat bolster. Our cost is $90 to replace the panel if you want it done. Everything works inside, we have the keyless clicker. Apart from a little wear, really not much to complain about. mechanical We know our Jeeps well here and this is a good one. It doesn't have any bottom end noise. The battery is new, and it fires easy. It has normal seepage at the oil pan and valve cover gasket, but it isn't puking. The brake pad life is fine, belt looks decent, and it shifts fine. The transmissions they put in these Jeeps were really strong too, I've had maybe 50 of these and never once done a tranny, almost all had 150k+ miles. We've sold them with 350k running/driving fine, pretty neat. The 4x4 engages properly, it drives pretty straight, no check engine light, and no drivability issues. It's an older Jeep and not a Caddy, but it'll get you there rain or shine without breaking. comments This is a solid XJ and a good buy. We guarantee original miles and clean title.
