Vehicle Detail
55 Nomad in Good restorable condition. The good; Its a 55 Nomad, one of only 8530 built. It has clear, clean paperwork,All of the glass is good except for the drivers side door which has a crack in the glass, 1/4s are great,It has very, very little rust through (outer rockers and a small spot over the drivers side headlight). .Motor is a 283,transmission is a Muncie four speed. The front seat springs are in good shape and include the 4 side trim pieces. The gauges are vintage Stewart Warner gauges including a 160 MPH speedometer. The tailgate and lift gate are in very good condition including the seven chrome spears, the middle one operates the latch as it should. The doors open and close like they should. The frame is solid with no rust through,There are 2 vintage fog lights on the front bumper The (Not so) bad.Foot wells are rusted. These can be repaired using floor pans , but on a car of this caliber, most people would replace the entire floor. The spare tire well has been taken out and the gas tank is mounted there. The majority of the interior stainless is rusted and needs to be re-chromed,Some genius cut the roof and installed a sunroof and louvered the hood. The headliner is torn. There is ONE pencil sized hole in the roof above the passengers side door. All in all it is a very good, solid restorable Nomad. I have done my best to honestly describe the Nomad. If you have questions please don't hestitate to ask. The seller is a 100% disabled veteran and cannot help to load vehicle. On Feb-14-13 at 15:56:02 PST, seller added the following information: Some things that I failed to mention;Since the floorboards are rusted out, one may assume that the inner rockers are also rusted, However the Body Mounts are in surprisingly good condition. There is also a dent above the passengers side taillight. It looks like someone hit it with a board.Should be an easy repair. On Feb-15-13 at 12:21:55 PST, seller added the following information: The Frame is unbelievably SOLID as is the bottom of the tailgateOn Feb-18-13 at 13:40:11 PST, seller added the following information: Answering some questions..I removed the weatherstripping from the tailgate so you can see that there is absolutely NO rust through on the tailgate. It is SOLID on all 6 sides. The liftgate is as solid as the tailgate. The primer on the passengers side wheel well was for aesthetics only.I sanded it off today and will post a picture of the SURFACE RUST.. The sunroof hole is 14 1/2" long & 29" wide...The rear seat and drivers seat platforms are solid w/ no rust through...There is NO rear seat..The transmission tunnel is solid as is the rear floor from the rear seat platforms to the rear of the floor. There is a problem posting pictures right now,I will try again later. If you really need more pictures or information call me @ three86===seven88+++four 87++4..
