This is a NO RESERVE auction for a Driftwood Peal 2005 Toyota Prius hybrid with Smart Key. The car is in great condition and really drives like a dream. It’s been very well kept, maintained, non-smoker driven, and was primarily highway driven. It has approx. 187,249 miles on it at the moment and the cars hybrid batteries still charge up to full capacity even with the headlights on and heat running. I tried to take a picture of this the other night on my way home but the picture came out a little blurry from my cell phone. The car has the center dash touch screen display monitor and steering wheel controls as well. Also, the car is great on gas like all Prius, and averages about 45+ MPG. I try to pay attention to detail and point out the cars minor dents and scratches in the pictures. I would rate the exterior paint and clear on the car to about a 9 out of 10. It’s really hard to believe that this car has a salvaged title. I just had the carpet and seats cleaned. The car has the stock Prius floor mats, cargo mat, and another set of Goodyear floor mats too. Also, it has an almost brand new set of Hankook Optimck tires and a brand new windshield just recently installed with a one year warranty. Mechanically this Prius is in great shape. Everything works fine including ice cold A/C and hot heat. Good brakes and rotors. No warning lights on and no electrical problems. Everything on the car is ready to go. However, In North Carolina some vehicle auctions are available to the public and I usually buy about 3 to 4 vehicles a year to fix up and resell them as a little hobby on the side. I just look for vehicles that don’t take much to fix and only need smaller repairs. But when you fix a car up you can find all sorts of things inside that can tell you a lot about the previous owner. For instance, I could tell this car was female driven since there was makeup on the steering wheel and buttons, business cards for massage therapy treatments, and other female things found in the glove box while I was cleaning the car out which was all cleaned up. Also, I can make the assumption that the car was highway driven by doing some simple math. You just say 187,000 mi/ 7years = 26,714 mi per year and then divide 26,714 mi per year/ 365 days per year = 73 miles per day. Also, the car was not in a fender bender but it looked like a tree limb had fallen on the front of the car from my observation which was why they salvaged the car. The edge of the limb caught the driver side top-edge of the car and had pushed it down about 1”; which was fixed. Also, the limb busted through the windshield and came across the front of the hood. But everything has been fixed and there's no wires running through the top other than accessory lights to the visors and none of that wiring was damaged. But all of the paint on this car looks great. Like I said above, it drives perfect with no leaks, and it wasn’t in a frame mingling accident like some salvaged cars. The only thing this car needs is a driver.
