1971 Plymouth Satellite Body - This car has an exceptional body. The right fender has no dents and only a few pin holes in the lower portion. There is a smaller than a dime sized spot in the inner fender jam under the hood. The grill, bumper, front valence, and hood are all VERY nice needing no repair. Left fender is also in exceptional condition and does not need any repair. Doors are excellent condition. There is no rust pitting at he bottom and the there is no previous repair in the inner or outer bottom corners. There is a few small dents in passenger side door, but it is so clean the dents are insignificant. The roof has one small pencil eraser sized blister over right rear quarter glass. The window openings, dutch man panel, truck trough, rear body panel area, rear bumper , and rear valence are all extremely nice. Amazingly there is not so much as a pin hole that i could find in any of the floor pans including the trunk floor and frame rails. The lower quarters are the only areas that need any significant attention. The right side behind the tire has already been addressed. There is a small hole in front of the tire. The left side has a small hole in front of the tire and behind the tire will need to be replaced. The wheel houses are solid but the left lower trunk extension will need some minor repair. All in all this is one of the nicest cars I have run across and would be a great candidate for a Roadrunner or GTX clone. Mechanical - This car was originally equipped with a 318 2 BBL column shifted automatic transmission and and 8 1/4 rear. This car runs, drives and stops. The gas tank has been replaced (2 years old) as are the brakes. This car has been sitting for a couple of years and master cylinder is leaking. There will probably need to be some carburetor rebuilding/tuneup. It does not smoke when I started for the first time after sitting for 2 years. The lifters did not tap. I can't prove this but it appears to me the millage is original at 32000. Interior - Dash board cracked, no headliner, no carpet, seats will need to be covered. Missing lower door panel on driver side but all others are there and in near perfect condition. Seat belt are in the car and intact. Factory radio no speakers holes have been cut to accommodate aftermarket speakers. MISC. - From my survey this an extremely nice starting point.The only things I see that are missing is the lower door panel and the front and back glass trim. This car belonged to my friend who passed away. I am selling for his father. I have described this car to the best of my ability. Any questions please call me at 804-837-4527.
