Vehicle Detail
I am selling for the BEST OFFER! Come make and offer and take it home. We have too many cars in the Garage! So, this great little wagon needs a new home. First, the good: 1. Great body and paint, 2. full leather package including 3rd seat in leather, 3, original car phone, 4. heated seats (winter package), 4. Atlanta car it's whole life, 5. roof rack and cross bars, 6. Every option available for a 1994...Now, the bad: 1. It needs some work and may be a good parts car because it needs a new radiator, resonator, brakes, and rear compensators (suspension part). It needs a good detail. The driver seat and armrest are ripped. If you want to tinker with a great classic with a great body (no rust) or just purchase at the best offer for parts, then bid now! I will consider trades for interesting items, too!!! On Feb-13-13 at 18:07:46 PST, seller added the following information: It does need a good detail. But, the paint and body are great. Here is what the dealer told me today (and it kills me to sell this car because it really shouldn't be a parts car). The items needing work are radiator, thermostat, radiator hose, rear compensators, pads (front and rear) and front rotors, resonator, transmission tunnel flex disc, heater fan, belt and tensioners all need replacing and may be close to $2500 total to bring it back to perfection. It is just hard for me to justify spending that money when it could be parted out for more. But, I do know that fully loaded (with real leather, phone, heated seats, etc.) wagons are hard to find. And, the only impact was very minor with parts having been purchased before I decided to sell as-is. I would give anything to just have an old classic like this one to drive on a daily basis if I had the gargage space and extra cash. We have 3 Benz's (2 new - 1 SUV, 1 coupe, and 1 mint 1989 convertible). I just don't have the space, but the color is so great! And, I really hate to see it be parted out, but it may be the only way to get the most $$$ If you want to restore it, I have brand new Palomino sheepskins and the impact strip damaged from the 2001 accident. These were the only major items damaged other than a small dent below the tail light that I touched up. If, I fix this car, I will have over $10,000 or so invested and it just seems to make sense to let it go and have someone spend a total of $5000,00 on car and repairs making it a great first or second car. If you want to do the work that needs to be done and split the profit by selling for a higher price, I am willing if you are in Atlanta. Also, I am willing to trade towards something interesting to show off at my car club (preferrably, a Benz with some tinkering needed). I am truly torn about this great car and know they are rare and this one has some rare options. Let's talk if you have a cool trade or think you may be able to give it a good home again or use it to rebuild a classic. By the way, I welcome you to stop by and see how great it is if you want, just email me and we can set up a time. Regards, JW
