Vehicle Detail
72 Nova, first I have to say that this is the absolute nicest cleanest rust free car I have ever owned. spent its life in CA and recently was brought to the east coast. Every pinch weld, every seam looks like brand new. Every bolt just unscrews, no rust or corrosion. This is like working on a brand new car! With that said here is a rundown of the car. Above mentioned rust free body, could use a paint job unless you like the vintage look, paint shines nice but it would look better in black primer. does have minor dings here and there Fiberglass 3" bolt on cowl hood with light springs, rear trunk is steel and pins down. all glass is good, all chrome is nice, has weld pro star wheels, MT sportsman front tires and new MT ET street drag radials(275/60/15). The rear end is a factory camaro/Nova 12 bolt with Strange C-clip eliminators, 33 spline Strange axles with 1/2" studs, good brakes, strange spool, 4.10 gears, alum rear Ultimate 12 cover with preload adjustment. (Have receipts for rear end parts) Last month I installed new Calvert racing Split-leaf springs, global west shackles with del-a-lum bushings. Cal-tracs bars and Cal-trac adjustable rear shocks. This is the absolute best leaf spring setup available and cost over 1k new subframe connectors, all new poly body bushings,(see pics for how perfect the body mounts were when i removed old bushings) new complete Flowmaster American thunder dual exhaust with x-pipe. (Half installed needs to be final fitted). Has flaming river manual steering box, joint and pitman arm. That's almost another 1k right there. Griffen aluminum radiator, MSD 6AL ignition, all auto meter gauges, monster tach with shift light. Nice Grant wheel, Corbeau racing seats with custom mounting brackets and sliders. Brand new black carpet. New dash pad, no rear seat, needs new door panels and headliner. Hurst Quarter stick shifter, the trans is a freshly built TH350 with a full manual reverse pattern TCI valve body (no trans brake). B&M holeshot 3k stall converter, ATI dipstick, the trans doesnt even have fluid in it yet!! The driveshaft still needs to be cut and installed. The engine is a 383cu stroker, forged rotating assembly, powermaster starter, 2.02 fuellie heads, roller rockers, victor JR intake, holley 750 double pumper, K&N air filter and extreme lid. Mallory distributor. The engine runs great and has a very nice lope to it. The fuel system is a electric pump and a cell in the trunk I have a sumped stock tank with a new sending unit that goes with the car.I also have all new weatherstripping for the car (doors and trunk) some brake hoses and other misc parts. I have Global West Tubular front lower control arms avail for an extra 300. I'm sure I am forgetting things, too many details to list. If you want a very easy project to be driving and racing in the spring then this is for you! I cannot stress enough how nice and rust free this car is, you will be amazed when you see it in person. Don't waste thousands of dollars fixing up a rusty car, start with a rust free original instead! Car just needs some general TLC, finish exhaust, get driveshaft cut, i started cleaning up the wiring and was planning to redo the fuel system. what is there works fine but i wanted to make it better. This is a great car, you will be hard pressed to find one that is this nice! international buyers welcomed but you must contact me first, anyone with under 5 feedback please contact me so that I know you are serious! must be paid in full within 3 days or auction end, NO PAY-PAY on this auction. please have it picked up within 2 weeks of auction end. ask questions in advance! On Feb-12-13 at 15:46:33 PST, seller added the following information: *****Just a update, i have had some spare time so i have been working on the car, the rug is now trimmed and fitted with door sills back in place, and i found a drive shaft that will allow the car to move onto a trailer, it CANT be driven more than that though, the shaft is to short and the u joint at the rear end is to small, i am going to pick away at it and try to get the exhaust on IF i have time.*****On Feb-15-13 at 14:34:42 PST, seller added the following information: ***good news, the exhaust is on and all done, the band clamps it came with don't clamp very tightly, the joints should all be welded to make sure there are no leaks, i tried to start it to make sure it was all working as it was but the new Powermaster XS starter i installed needs to be shimmed and then the battery died, more work for another day***
