1978 HONDA CB 550 CAFE RACER / ONE-OF-A-KIND BUILT! This beauty was built by well-known westcoast bike builder Dustin Kott.Please visit his website at dustin kott motorcycles.com I had this bike built for me a couple of years back, it has gone through somewhat of a transformation...like most. I purchased the bike with approximately 12.000 miles on it. Since I've owned it, I put another 2,000 miles on it, give or take, but then again I took the original spedo and tac off. This is NOT a daily driver. What I mean about not a daily driver is that I don't use it as my primary transportation. When I can, I ride on Sundays. Tank has great looking knee cut-outs and was originally gloss black. Recently I had it stripped down to metal, then had it triple clear coated. It looks amazing. The side covers I left black and are in good condition. Clubman bars, head lamp, muffler and headers have a brushed aluminum finish. The wheels are in great shape. The rims are chrome and the spokes were sanded down and allowed to naturally rust. Frame has been painted semi-gloss black, it also is in good condition. Fenders, shocks, brakes, forks, rims and engine are all stock and they too are in very good condition. Triumph headlight. The leather seat is custom made by Kott. It is comfortable and does not chafe your thighs like most. Four into one headers are from Mac, the muffler is a cut-down replica Dunstall, which makes for an awesome sound. Bridgestone tires (front 100/90-19m, rear 120/90-18m) are in great shape with very little mileage, they were changed out recently. Electric start works. Once the bike is warmed up, it runs great. This bike does not smoke at all. The wiring has been cleaned up and runs off of one fuse. Thank God! The rear blinkers don't work. Brake and headlights work. Bike has been garaged since it was built. This bike can be seen locally and test driven, with cash in hand. There is no reserve. I'll help with delivery only from my place.
