Vehicle Detail

This auction is for a complete model year 2003 Suzuki RM250cc dirtbike engine. It is used one summer of trail riding, NOT racing. It was well taken care of and drop in ready to your bike or cart. Here is what has been done: (all work done last May, rode last summer) - cases split all bearings changed, i.e. mains, transmission, shift drum. - stock rod changed at local dealer to a Wiseco, crank trued. - Cylinder sent to Millennium old plating stripped, new plating applied and diamond honed, ported, surfaced .010 off the bottom of jug for more low end power. - assembled and ridden both with stock mechanical clutch and Rekluse EXP. - engine covers, powder coated. - entire transmission was REM superfinished at Calico coatings. - shifter forks and drum were teflon coated at Calico coatings. (This is what comes with it) I have two clutch setups for this, a stock type mechanical, and a REKLUSE EXP auto clutch both come with it. (rekluse is 400.00 alone) I have a PHAT head on it, this head is CNC machined and comes with 3 combustion chamber sizes you can interchange. stock, 1 step more, and 2 steps more. I have a Boysen Rad valve. I just put in a brand new CP coated piston, this has no hours, and it comes with (2) spare coated pistons, 1 is another CP, the other is a Wiesco. It comes with all new OEM electronics, stator, rectifier, coil, harness, and CDI box, all used 1 summer, bought brand new (1000.00 alone) It comes with a brand new silicone hose kit It comes with a nickle plated Pro Circuit pipe It comes with Hinson billet basket, hub, and pressure plate (750.00 alone) It has a "power now" carb insert, see picture. I have some random stock stuff I will throw in the box as well, things like stock reed cage, bolts and nuts, clutch plates and steels, stuff like that. I have an auction up right now for another coated pro circuit pipe and OEM silencer. If that auction ends without a winner, I will throw that stuff in on this pile of extra parts. I had a large collection of engines and bike in these years, (early 2000's) and can tell you this enigne makes huge torque. It is almost out of hand sometimes, I rode woods and trails for fun, I'm too old to race and it would like to be riden a gear tall to keep the front end down. Shifts very smooth, runds clean, I can run indefinatly on one spark plug, I use Amoil dominator and it keeps the powervalve and cylinder clean and in great shape. The piston I took out of this was in such nice shape I was going to reinstall it, but I want to sell off my fleet and people like buying stuff with new pistons so I installed one, still have 2 spares. This engine is my favorite, and a strong runner. I was running this in a 2001 chassis, so it will drop right in and line up, all you have to use is a 2003 pipe and everything fits. I know it fits the 2001 and 2002 chassis when usign the 2003 pipe, probably will drop right in the 2003 to 2006 chassis as well, but you will have to check that. E-mail if you have questions, but bid in confidence that it has a great cylinder, new CP piston kit, new bottom end, new clutch, and a pile of extras. This combination cost me OVER 4 grand to build. I wish the market would support that in resale, but it doesn't. This is a racing type engine, and takes the special knowledge of a motorcycle mechanic or "real" engine builder to maintain it and service it properly. I state these facts as true which is why I will not issue any kind of warrenty or refund or return. I'm sorry and don't mean to scare off any bidders but these things can die from misuse, poor service, or the easiest thing an improper warm up. Since I am not there to install it, or teach people how to build engines I will not be responsible. On the other hand if your knowledgeable and can assume responsibility for your own actions, you will be more than pleased with this engine.
