1983 CR480R The 83 is the best of the 480/450 series with the 5 speed transmission, upgraded brakes and more. This is a very nice running and riding example. The bike is very complete and functional. This one is ready to take out and ride with no work.Title is clean, notarized and ready for the new owner. Actual miles are unknown.The bike has been very well maintained with parts replaced as necessary and no shoddy work. It has the following upgrades: DG race pipe Mud flap on rear fender Cargo bag on rear fender The Good: Bike runs excellent with tons of power. Engine has very strong compression. Transmission shifts smoothly through all 5 gears. Clutch is strong and engages and disengages properly. Vintage DG exhaust is in very good condition with only slight surface rust behind the front wheel. Silencer is OEM in very good condition. Suspension has proper compression and proper rebound dampening at both ends. Adjusters click both ways properly. No leaks are evident in the forks or shock. Fork seals have been replaced recently. Swingarm and linkage operate smoothly. Front and rear brakes are strong with no squeals or other obvious issues. Sprockets at both ends and chain were recently replaced and are in good condition. Front and rear wheel are free from cracks or dents. Front tire has very little wear. Rear tire has moderate wear. Kickstarter returns properly and stays in place while riding. All levers, throttle, pedals, kill switch, choke operate smoothly and are not bent out of shape. Cables and wires are in good condition. No balls of electrical tape or spliced wires are evident. Fuel tank is free of leaks or cracks. Seat cover is in excellent condition with no tears and foam is in good shape. All plastics are correct for the year, free from cracks and mount correctly. Frame is straight and has very little paint wear. Hardware is correct and original, can find nothing missing or improperly installed Issues (just being picky)The clutch lever has been replaced with a shorter one that requires more effort. It should be replaced with the proper length. The fuel tank has some oxidation of the plastic on the sides that needs to be buffed out. The tank and number plate stickers are worn.
