The vehicle is in good condition for a 10 year old car, it runs and drives super nice, is well equipped and has very decent mileage. These cars are a kick to drive, they get good fuel economy, and if you routinely maintain them, they're not hard to keep up on. This is a great vehicle for a younger person or just someone who wants good fun transportation. exterior The paint and body on this are in good shape and everything matches and lines up. It has a clean history report, no accidents. There's no rust, hail, or body damage at all. The wheels are fair, few scratches but nothing too bad. The tires have very good tread all the way around, long ways to go yet. The windshield is also new. The doors open and close easily, everything lines up, paint has nice gloss, etc. The car has a little normal road wear on the front end and a couple little touched up chips on the lower rockers, as well as a few light scratches on the roof, most of which buffed out. The left rear bumper had a scuff when it came in, so we had that painted, no damage though. The photos show it well, very nice looking little vehicle. interior The interior is nice too. It doesn't smell like smoke and I didn't see any noticeable burn marks. The carpet, dash, doors, and headliner are all pretty darn nice. Even the upholstery is good, typically the bolsters wear heavy on these under a lot of city driving, but this one doesn't show much. The accessories all work including the scalding seat heaters, nice stereo, etc. This guy has pretty well every option. We had to replace the glove box latch, just didn't get time to put it in yet, kind of a lengthy job. Spare a little normal aging/wear around some of the trim, it's all super nice inside. mechanical We received this little guy in great operating order and didn't have to do much. I put 150 miles on it and was super pleased We also changed the oil, filter, and I believe replaced one of the seat belt tensioner sensors. The car has documented timing belt service on the Carfax at 103k miles, so it's nice to see you won't have to do that for a long while. The car has plenty of kick, motor is quiet, it tracks well, clutch is fine, no gear grinding, all very civilized and nice to get about in. These cars are a lot of fun to drive, we've had a lot of GLI Jettas, 337s, and R32s over the years, I love this era of these VWs, just a lot of fun for the money. comments This is a neat car and a great find.
