Vehicle Detail
1959 Austin Healey Bugeye Sprite race car---Completely rebuilt for F/E production class, HSR West and VARA. Runs and drives great, needs nothing. Started out as a rust/patch free clean Sprite, needing no bodywork. Has a 1275cc Austin Healey engine, full race cam, balanced and lightened crankshaft, aluminum cyl. head, custom headers, 45 DCOE Weber sidedraft carb, and dual coil ignition system. 4 speed manual has straight cut gears and lightened flywheel/clutch system. Disc brakes, fuel cell, and charged fire suspression system. Mini Lite wheels and race tires, alum. race seat with Simpson harness, short and taller plexiglass windshields, Autometer 10k tach w/shift light, VDO electronic shift light....the list goes on, this is one serious and fast little rocket. Also has a clear WI title, and has had signals and a horn added after the build. Was built at a race shop in AZ in the 2003-2005 range. Fiberglass front end/bonnet. Underside is painted and rust free, as is the tub, not one corrosion spot anywhere. Paint is typical race car, single stage and intended to attract attention, but not professional. I do have the stainless tig welded roll bar to make it race ready too, it had to be cut to be removed for street use, could be put back though. The car is really well built, all the right race parts and nothing cobbled, started out straight and clean, and modified from there. It was sold from AZ to MI in 2010, and then to WI in 2011, I do have the paperwork from that, and a picture of the car on the track, along with the bill of sale from the builder to buyer in MI, after that the signals and horn were added and it was titled. Amazing car..ready for a new owner-----Take a look, ask questions------Thanks
