Vehicle Detail

I thought I had it sold, but they did not come through. This is the bottom price. I will not re-list again. If I do not sell, I will not make a deal after listing has ended. If you want the car, then make a bid or buy it now. I will hold onto the car and trade in for a new Mustang or travel trailer. 1986 Mercedes Benz 300SDL Diesel. Great to convert to Bio-diesel. I bought the car from my Father-in-law, hoping to try my hand at bio-diesel. Since my wife and I have a young son, we have decided to get a small travel trailer. I have too many autos and one must go, so it is this one. My Father-in-law got the car from Mercedes of OKC and was told he was the second owner, so I am the third. The reason it shows four owners is that my in laws got divorced and it transferred from my mother in law to father in law. First of all what has been done to it recently: NEW GLOW PLUGS - Mercedes charges $1000 alone to do this.NEW BATTERYNEW TIRES ON ALL 4 WHEELSOIL AND FILTER CHANGEAIR FILTER WINDSHIELD WIPERS The front and rear seats power adjustments all work. I drove the car about 50 miles last week at 80 mph and it ran great for an old diesel and the ride was smooth. When I pushed the accelerator down, the car responded and really moved down the road. It hauls butt. Now the rough part of the car. I am trying to list everything. I have not had the car long.Right side lower plastic panel is slightly bent and scratched, paint on trunk and roof is needing repainting - since in OK - only small rock chip spots rusting - as you can see from the photos - it looks pretty good though, truck lock will not lock, radio taken out, needs new antenna, driver and passenger cushion cover needs work, back seat top of lean back splitting, driver lean back cover needs work, blower motor works - but ac is not working, sunroof tilts up and down - but does not slide. The interior has rough things here and there. I tried to cover as much of the car in the photos as I could. I do not have the original ignition keys. I had keys made from the emergency key. The emergency key is the original. My in laws has several newer Mercedes they drove. They moved before I got the car, and the keys got misplaced in the move. My Father-in-law said the motor was rebuilt in 2000 at Mercedes of OKC. About 100,000 miles ago. In about 2002 My father in law was in an accident. The windshield, hood, both front fenders and bumper was replaced and repainted the factory color. No frame damage. You can not tell that the work was done. The body work was performed at a body shop recommended by Mercedes of OKC. I have owned the car myself for about 6 months. This car was about $43,000 when new in 1986. A Mercedes shop told me the engine alone is worth about $4000. NADA shows low end of the car is about $6000. The reserve is well below the $4000. I have the car listed locally too. It is in Edmond Oklahoma. Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, Audi, Lexus is common vehicles in Edmond. I may end the auction if I get asking price locally. If I do not get reserve price, I may hold onto it until 2014 Mustangs come out and trade in with my current Mustang. Please email me if you have any questions or need more photos.
