"This is not a rust bucket"! It LOOKS GOOD EVERYWHERE YOU LOOK ON THE UNDERSIDE! IS THERE ANY ACCIDENT DAMAGE? None that I can find. WHY AM I SELLING THIS CAR? I’m a 66 year old retired mechanic/classic car restorer/auto mechanics intructor, when I find a car I like, can sell for a fair market price and make a few bucks, I buy it fix a few things and resell. PAINT: The car has a brillant shine, it looks like Shelbys blue, but a little brigher. No rust bubbles, no dents or dings and the car is reasonable straight to look down the sides. The door jambs and underside of trunk and hood are slick. 5 or 6 tiny chips that have been touched up, the paint is nice and looks real good, but it not a $25,000 paint job, its just a very nice quality, not a roll out of the trailer show queen. CHROME AND BRIGHTWORK: Over all the chrome would be considered very nice, outside door handles new, the bumpers are new, the emblems look new, some dings in the back and front window trim chrome, the drip rails and vent window chrome is good, but not new, the trunk bezel new, the front and back window trim has some minor dings. INTERIOR: Carpet looks new, headliner new, door panels new, dash pad new, seat covers good, but have some marks/little defects. The back seat does not have a split, its were the seat belts come through, no seat belts in the rear. THE GRILL IS 1966 just because last owner liked it. GLASS: Good clear glass, the windows roll up and down OK, the windshild is new. ENGINE: The engine is a strong running 5.0 roller out of a newer mustang, 5.0 is a 302 cubic inch, its a roller cam motor, it has been rebuilt, but I can documend nothing. The intake is aluminum after market, the carbuater a Holley 4 barrell, the fuel pump is mounted at the gas tank and electric, the fan is electric. EXHAUST SYSTEM: The exhaust is in good used condition. TRANSMISSION: Its a 5 speed manual out of the same newer Mustang, its a Tremic T5. REAR-END: Its good with no whines or growels, its a 8.8 out of a later model Mustang. BRAKES: Good for drums, they are drums all around. The pictures show that the parking brake is not hooked up and missing a piece, I have now bought the parts and installed them. STEERING: Good, the car drives great, it is not power steering. WHEELS AND TIRES: Good tires mounted on Bullit 17 inch rims. LIGHTS: They work, turn signals work, headlights work, tail lights work, brake lights work. GUAGES: They work, the temp and oil are in a pod under the dash. SPEEDOMETER is not working, the past owner marked the tachometer that does work, the tail shaft speedo drive gear is not in place, the cable and speedo housing works good with a drill! GAS GAUGE WORKS! wipers work! Radio is Kenwood, it does not seem to pickup real good. The tack works. HOW DO THE DOORS AND HOOD OPEN AND CLOSE? I think they open and close good for a Mustang. PANEL FIT: They all fit good for a Mustang, this is not perfect, they were not perfect from the Ford factory. GOOD STUFF: The car is beautiful, it is fast, it is solid, you don't have to do anything if you don't want to. BAD STUFF: No back seat belts, the speedometer is missing a drive gear (tach is used for speed), the serpentine engine belt will make a squeal for a couple of seconds sometimes when the engine if first started, no big deal, but you can here it (we put a new spring belt tensioner on it) I think the high out put alternator puts out a lot of amps when the battery is low, just for a couple of seconds, it doesn't hurt anything. TRADES: Please no trades, they never work out and are just to hard! The rest of the information is boring unless you are really interested in buying the car, its just buying details like shipping, paperwork, who I am, where the car is located and how to pay and contact information. CONTACT INFO: my cell is 423-506-8987, I do not answer when driving, while meeting with people, after about 8:00 PM Eastern Time or on Sunday morning or Sunday nights. Please leave a voice mail and I’ll get back. I do check my emails several times a day. cell 423-506-8987 email: dreamcar@live.com PAPERWORK: I know what to do! We are just a father/son 2 man operation, but we are a Tennessee licensed/bonded car dealer and have sold cars all over the US and exported many. THIS IS NOT AN AUCTION, THIS IS A FIXED PRICE LISTING: I reserve the right to stop the listing at any time and sale the car “come look”. I RESERVE TH RIGHT TO STOP THE LISTING AT ANY TIME. THE CAR IS FOR SALE ON THE LOCAL MARKET. WHERE THE CAR IS LOCATED: The car is here at my home in Athens, Tennessee. Athens is in east Tennessee, we are 50 miles south of Knoxville. Look at a Road Atlas and follow interstate 75 south from Knoxville. I live one mile and one turn from the interstate exit. My zip code is 37303. The closest large airport is Knoxville. Athens does have a good small airport, but has no commercial flights. WHO YOU ARE BUYING FROM: My name is Ron Watson and I live in the small town of Athens, Tennessee “Athens is called the friendly city”. We are located in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in east Tennessee. I am 66 years old and work with my son Keith who is now 40. I am now retired and living my dream restoring, selling and improving classic cars. For 12 years I was an auto mechanics instructor at Tennessee Technology Center here in Athens. I am also a veteran of the US Army; I served as a Chinook helicopter mechanic, crew chief and instructor in the late 60s, I did spend a year in Vietnam. I’m Southern Baptist faith and proud to be an American. I’ve been married to the same good woman for almost 43 years. LIFE IS GOOD IN THE GREEN HILLS OF EAST TENNESSEE! MY AREA CODE FOR TRANSPORT: The area code for Athens, Tennessee is 37303. I live 1 mile off a major interstate (I-75) and 35 miles south of interstate 40, so transport is usually very fast. PAYMENT: I require a $250 deposit for a Buy Now or to hold the car, this can be by PayPal, but I will not take full payment by PayPal. Option 1: Pay the old school way face to face. Option 2: Pay by check, I will wait till the check clears, I have had a fake bank certified check. Option 3: The safest and fastest is to let our banks handle it, my bank is a member of the US Federal Reserve, this is called wire transfer. INSPECTIONS: Please come look and be happy. All inspections are required to be done before the end of the listing. I listed this car as I see it as a 64 year old car restorer, please come and judge it for your self. I judge the car to my standards, this may not be yours. Paid inspectors are unpredictable, you might get a good one, but most of them do not impress me at all, most really don’t know what to look at, they make a good car sound bad on the report. They have to be very critical to cover their back sides and all their concerned about is getting paid. I understand how hard it is to buy a car without looking, but I think you should come look yourself. I don’t like paid inspectors, I like for the person that is buying to inspect for themselves. I think its fine to send a friend to inspect for you. To make it clear, don’t hit the buy now button and then inspect, come inspect first! TRADES: Please no trades! BOTTOM LINE: My price is $23,800. I'm asking more on the local market. The game is not rocket science, ask a price on the local markety and come down. It’s not fun to bargain over the cell phone all day long with people that live 2000 miles away and are not going to buy anyway. My firm price is the Buy Now price. I have sold every car I have ever tried to, so I’m not motivated to be bargained down. PLEASE!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! Come look at this vehicle. Please don’t hit the Buy Now button unless your ready to really buy it! Do your research, call me with questions, read my feed backs, I am ebay verified; this means they say I’m a real person in a real place. I WILL BE VERY HAPPY TO SELL YOU THE VEHICLE WITH-OUT AN INSPECTION; YOU JUST HAVE TO HAVE A LOT OF NERVE AND PLEASE DON’T BE A CRY BABY. Read the ME section on the upper right hand part of the listing marked seller info. Thank You, Ron Watson cell: 423-506-8987 email: dreamcar@live.com IS THERE A WARRANTY? No!
