Extremely Rare 1979 Dodge Diplomat S Salon Station Wagon. This car was bought new in 1979 from the Dodge dealer in Baraboo,Wisconsin by the current owner. The car has been stored in a temperature controlled garage for 34 years. This is an extremely rare car. I can not locate another one in the United States for sale. It is in extremely good condition. It is not a Number #1 show car. However it is very close. The car was never driven in the winter so there is no rust on the car. Most cars this year were victims of Harsh midwest winters which caused severe rust. This car is rust free. The car has been extremely well maintained showing only very minimal wear. The exterior paint, trim and mechanics are not in need of any reconditioning. The interior is in excellent conditon. Since this car is so rare I would prefer to sell it to a collector or a Chrysler/Dodge Dealership that would put this pristine example on their showroom floor to show a Fine Dodge classic. The car has the optional 318 V8, The base engine was the slant 6 and there also was an optional 360 V8. The only other option offered in this model was factory A/C which this car also has. I have other classic car interests and would like to move this car out of my collection.
