Photobucket link with 77 new detail pictures http://s559.photobucket.com/albums/ss34/rottenleonard/56%20chevy/ Well here is the deal, we painstakingly restored a VERY NICE pickup to tour the country in and we did do so for a few years, however with a new addition to the family we no longer fit in the cab, and wanting to keep it a family hobby we are very reluctantly now going to sell our pickup. We have completely disassembled, fully restored and upgraded this 1956 with absolute reliability and comfort in mind. This truck will drive ANYWHERE at freeway speeds with no issues. We have driven it from our home in Northern Idaho to Bonneville speed week two times, Portland Oregon, Moab UT, Yellowstone Montana, and several regional car shows all with absolutely no issues. Due to driving there are a few rock chips and some wear on the steering wheel but overall it is in very nice shape and will not disappoint. The vehicle has been appraised by our insurance company for $35,000. Here is what you are getting: Complete new wiring system with ATC fuses, cleanly installed and professionally terminated in the exterior as well as interior. New at the time of rebuild, A Jasper 5.7 liter engine & Jasper 4L60 Transmission Factory GM Throttle body fuel Injection, With all stock components to make parts sourcing on the road very easy (if ever needed) Edelbrock performer intake Ceramic coated long tube Hooker Headers Flow Master Mufflers with dual 3" exhaust system and chrome tips 21 Gallon aluminum fuel tank Audiovox Cruise Control Vintage Air A/C Rebuilt 10 bolt rear-end with 3.40 gear ratio The front end has been clipped with a 78' Chevrolet 1/2 ton front suspension with ALL new components (This has been professionally done and is very clean; when you see it you will be very impressed with the execution. This provided disk brakes, independent suspension, quality power steering, and is all engineered to be strong enough to handle a full size pickup vs. anemic gm car subframes.) The ball joints, cross shafts & bushings, inner and outer tie rods, idler and pitman arms, shocks, sway bar bushings, lower A arm bushings, rotors, calipers, wheel bearings have all been replaced with new premium quality parts. This truck drives GREAT which you will love it on long trips. The interior includes a beautiful two tone dash, luxurious carpeting and the seat has been rebuilt with new foam and very nice cloth upholstery. Lokar transmission shifter and emergency brake handle (this is one thing that we would probably do different given the chance as it works fine but tends to rattle occasionally) New chrome knobs, and other chrome trim. All new weather-strip, and new window tinting. New stereo (AM/FM, cassette and MP3) that fits in the stock radio hole without dash modifications (as this is a HUGE turn off to us). All brake components, including the master cylinder, booster, calipers, pads, rotors, shoes, wheel cylinders, brake hard lines, brake hoses, ect were replaced with new quality components at the time of restoration. The truck has a color matched spray in bed liner and a hard tonneau cover (Gaylords) that makes a very good dry, lockable storage area for traveling. The paint and bodywork are very good(with some rock chips from use) Not trailer queen show quality but VERY nice for a drivable restoration. The body was taken down to bare metal with media blasting and ALL body issues and rust were repaired before paint. and great efforts were taken to prevent rust issues in the future as at the time we thought we would never consider selling the truck (or having kids haha) The rear tail gate has been changed to internal cables and latches to prevent rattles and paint damage from the stock chains. This Truck will not disappoint as it was restored to be kept for life and not just to turn a quick buck as you will find a lot of on e-bay. We encourage you to come see the vehicle in person and we are more than happy to answer any questions. Bid with confidence, but please only bid if you plan on following threw, Please don't waste our time as we promise to not waste yours! Please note I have all receipts since the birth of this project.
