This was a special ordered Jeep for a GMC dealer here in Iowa. It was ordered with a 4.2 258 6 cylinder engine, automatic transmission, full time 4x4 with Quadratrac. This CJ has spent the better part of it's life as plow Jeep owned and operated by a new car store who kept it very well maintained. It has changed hands a couple of times over the last ten years or so. I purchased it from a local guy who just did some work to the brakes and the carb. After sitting here for a little more than a week in below freezing temps with only the turn of the key the Jeep started right up and ran like champ. No touch of the pedal or anything. This has to be the best running 258 I have ever had. This Jeep comes with factory hard doors and full hard top. It does look to have had some body work over the years including but not limited to the floor pans and fenders. This is not a perfect Jeep, but I think that it is in great shape for a '76 and it runs great. This would make a great builder and is easy to drive for everyone with the automatic and power steering.
