Vehicle Detail
96 800x600 Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE http://youtube.com/watch?v=CqRYZzxnlbk This is a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS. It has a 4-spd manual transmission and a 396 c.i (6.5L) engine that was rebuilt about seven years ago. The engine is either a Chevelle or Camaro engine. I got this car back in 2006 with the intention of rebuilding it, but I naively underestimated the work that went into a restoration. For that reason, the car has literally sat in my garage for the past five years while I've been away at college. The video above is of the car running in 2007. However, it no longer runs for whatever reason. Oddly enough, no work has been done to the car since that video was made. When it did run (as you can tell from the video), it had a lot of power and drove well. This is definitely a project car, but it has tremendous potential in the right person's hands. It needs some work to be 100% road worthy. The interior is the car's original so it should be gone through and redone. The current floor pan is fairly rusted and there is a hole in the floor behind the passenger seat. The body is in good shape. We have sanded and primed the entire body matte black - the original color was blue. The trunk is solid, but it has a few minor holes near the back of it that are the size of a quarter. The car has a 12-bolt posi and heavy duty leaf springs from the factory something only the SS’s came with. The drivetrain is in really good shape and just needs to be cleaned up. I have been working on this car on and off for a while now and I've decided that it is time for someone else to finish the project because I am moving out of state; contact me with any questions via email or phone (248-229-0970). This is a great opportunity to own a valuable muscle car. New parts I've installed: - L/R Complete Door Shells - L/R Front Fenders - L/R Fender Extensions - L/R Inner Fenders - Radiator Core Support - 2 in. Cowl Hood - Aluminum Radiator - AC Delco Starter Solenoid - AC Delco Battery If the buyer is interested, they can also have the original doors and hood (and all of their components). They just have to pay for shipping. FYI the last picture is what the car looked like when I bought it in 2006. Thank you and the car can be seen at anytime.
