Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my dads '53 bel-air. He's in afghanistan right now, and just doesnt have the time for a hotrod anymore, hates to sell it but he's planning on moving and cant take it with him. As for the car, i've been driving it around town since the last time i posted it up for sale, she does alright for a 60 year old car, the engine is practically new, it was professionally rebuilt, as was the transmission and differential. the carb does need some tweaking, probably because its cold now. as you can see in the pics its a cool car, it's pretty clean and just needs a little love with the interior. carpet and door panels and seats mostly. the car is really solid, it has a roll cage in it and with the suspension it is a very rigid ride. as for the motor, its a 454bbc, rebuilt (idk how many miles ago, but cant be many), k&n air filter, holley street avenger carb, edelbrock dual plane intake, heads were ported and polished, magnum roller rockers, comp cams thumpr cam, hv oil pump, noisy timing gears, new water pump, aluminum radiator and transcooler, electric fan, msd ignition, hooker headers. transmission was bought from tci, and the diff has a locker with 3.73 gears. theres more but thats all i can think of right now. Also comes with all or most of the original parts, an extra door, some tires, and some other stuff. doesnt leak any fluids, doesnt burn oil, no smoke, its all around healthy, and while i havent taken it for long road trips i have drivin it around the country side with no problems. as you can see in the pics, it has a keg as a gas tank and is hooked up to a gauge, i believe it holds around 10gallons, i believe the name of the car is "Domestic Brew" body is good, its got some small dings and such, a few chips in the paint, and i noticed theres some bubbling around the wheel well on the back. its a 4 door, and the rear exterior door handles were shaved but the doors still open. all around its not a trailer queen, this is a car that you drive and you have fun in, and work on with your buddies. its classic and it gets people looking and talking everywhere it goes. if you have any questions you can reach me at oie_o-unit@hotmail.com. title and reg are clean and clear. happy new years
