1970 PONTIAC GTO. PHS BUILD SHEET documented Triple Black Hardtop with 27 factory OPTIONS. One of 241 455 AUTO with RAM AIR. Just needs stripes and a spoiler to be the equivelant to a JUDGE. This was the largest engine available in 1970 and the only year for a high compression 455. Rare find as most Ram Air cars were not loaded with options. Also most of the 455 cars I have seen are Gold or Green or Tan.This is a partially completed professional restoration. Comes with many new and nos parts. Body has been off and on a rotessirre. Rust free shell with factory floors and quarters. Body and trunk lid are painted and doors block sanded and primed.Rust free doors.Includes New front fenders and core support and hood and the original Ram Air hood..Frame was blasted and smoothed and has new body bushings and stainless fuel and brake lines.Rear is the original 12 bolt rebuilt with new axles,Eaton posi unit, and ring and pinion 3.42 (stock would have been 3.31) Front end is old stock stuff just bolted on as I had not decided if I was going stock or updated with bigger brakes.Rolling on the stock hubcaps and 1970 stock rims.Still needs a complete interior kit. Have all the factory interior, seat, door panels, 2 dash pads. I was going to change the interior to red but could easily go back to black at this point.Incudes all the glass and a new windshield.Includes an NOM but correct code rebuilt YC short block 455 with 1970 GTO # 64 heads and 1970 intake and a 455 non ram air carb. Trans is a THM 400 core. I thought about adding a 700r4 or converting to a 4 speed.Also have extra options to add that car did not have originally - POWER DOOR LOCKS and SEAT BACK RELEASES, AM FM STEREO, 8 TRACK etc. Better to start with a solid project with a lot of the hard work already done than a rusty basket case.
