Vehicle Detail

This truck has never been smoked in and I've had it in my care for most of its "life". As for looks, I'd call it an 9 out of 10 especially for its age and I never see trucks like it in this condition around anymore. It is very clean and shiny. I would not hesitate to drive this truck across country. The paint is doing its typical fading on the roof and a little on the hood. The only rust on the body is at the bottom of the doors and a spot on the tailgate behind the plastic trim. (See pics) the upholstery is in great shape with one small tear starting to happen on the drivers seat back. (not cushion). Everything electrical is original and works proper including the cruise control. This truck was built on a good day as it has been very dependable and has never been behind a tow truck. I have added things over the years such as a 2 core fan forced trans cooler and electric brake controller for towing various campers I've owned. About 80k ago I had added new larger injectors and had the pump totally freshened up with a few extras internally for better towing power and fuel economy including 4"exhaust. (Nothing radical.) The transmission was redone at that time too with BD converter and valve body to the tune of $4800 for transmission alone. I recommend a new triple disc as this motor has enough power to actually slip the converter on hills with a heavy trailer. I simply know its limitation and don't push it with the overdrive on. I added a steering box reinforcement stabilizer kit to reduce sway and wander. I also added a Reese Titan IV receiver hitch to still tow a boat etc behind my current Lance slide in camper. The CB radio works but the antenna fell off but who uses them any more? This truck gets 19.5 mpg every day and easily holds 15 mpg hauling my 3400Lb Lance slide in camper. The largest camper I had was a 32' and it got 12.5. As for the reason for selling? I found a great deal on a 2007 (same truck). There are a few items that will need to be addressed within the next 4 years such as the rear spring hangers and the crossmember that holds the spare tire both which are bolt on items. The Michelins are due for a change because of cracking from Florida sun. Both doors have some rust that's easily fixed (black area only, see pictures). If i'd kept it, I would also change to a better torque converter that can hold the torque no matter who is driving it. Like i said, I I would not hesitate to drive this across country to anywhere. The brakes are recent, ball joints and all other items are tight. Most items that are "wear items" on these Dodges, I have replaced at one time and have lifetime guarantee receipts for most items in the glove compartment if ever needed. The underside is oil free and doesn't consume oil between changes. Contact me ahead of time for picking up arrangements and/or delivery details.
