Vehicle Detail
1956 International Harvester 1&1/2 Ton Truck Factory Four Wheel Drive Low Mileage, Rare 1956 International Harvester Vin # S14058645 Previously owned by Adams County Washington Fire District. Purchased by Adams County in 1956 and outfitted as a "Brush Buggy" with water tanks, pumps and fire hoses. The truck has been kept inside the firehall and serviced by the fire department from 1956 till 2002. The engine spun a rod bearing in 2002 with 6000 miles on it and was taken out of service and fire apparatus was removed. I purchased this classic in 2002 and replaced the engine. The current engine is a perfectly running 264 international 6 cylinder. Still have the rebuildable original six cylinder. Odometer reading is now 7000 and that is accurate. Drive anywhere, although top speed is 50 mph. Interior is very good, seat is original and only slightly worn on drivers side. There is a cover on it just to preserve original seat. Truck had radios and antenna installed for fire dept., so cab has a few small holes drilled from radio install. Four wheel drive works perfect, everything works. I have personally bought, restored, and messed around with 40's and 50's trucks for 30 years and never made a dime on one. Only have sold one truck on e-bay to a very satisfied customer. I would be happy to answer any and all questions. This is a very original and unmolested truck, a very rare find. Because of its condition, I'm holding out for a fair price, otherwise, I will just keep it. I accept cashiers or bank checks and would like to have the full payment within 5 day's of auctions end. A $1000.00 Deposit is required within 48hrs of auctions end. Vehicle will be held until all funds clear. Required within 7 days of auction close. The buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and details. Seller will assist buyer with shipping arrangements.
