Original 1967 Volvo 1800S. Solid rust free California black plate One repaint in a very close to original dark shade of green with a small amount of metalic added. Car has much recent mechanical refurbishment. Work recently done incudes new water pump.new belts, new hoses,new points, plugs, plug wires,,valve cover gasket, valve adjustment,carb adjustment ,new upper and lower control arm bushings. Carbs have good throttle shafte but throttle bushing on firewall bracket needs to be replaced. This is causing the idle to someime stick at a higher then desired rpm. I have a temporary fix using a piece of fuel hose as a bushing. Front and rear seats were recently redone in an original pattern and color with new foam added. and seat straps replaced. The straps under the rear occasional seat still need replacing. Upper dash has no cracks and the lower portion has one small area of cracking. The brake booster has been replaced and it works well. Tires have plenty of tread but have some age to them. Exterior was recently clay barred and color sanded. Trunk area had a repair from a dent that was poorly done and I had a paint color match done and had the dent repaired properly. The car looks good from 5 feet or so but the paint is only driver quality at best. The original radio lights up but the speaker is shot so I am unsure if the radio works. At one time this car had an aftermarket alarm installed and I had all of the related wiring from it removed. On the left front fender there is a key receptacle left from the alarm. I also recently upgraded the charging system from a generator to a BOSCH alternator.I also recently had both front horns replaced with a set from IPD and they work well.' I am selling this car and soon will be selling a restored 1963 544. I am in search of a 1960 to 1962 MGA and would consider trades for same.. This is a 45 year old car which is being sold as is where is. I have tried to describe condition as accurately as possible. Inspections in person are strongly encouraged. Mileage on the car reads 46,950 miles but I assume as should you that the car has more mileage then this. I will be advertising this car locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early.
