Only 1 California lady owner 1976 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible In 1976, when all other domestic convertibles had vanished, GM heavily promoted the Cadillac Eldrado Convertible, as the American industry's only remaining convertible. A total of only 14,000 would be sold, many purchased as investments. The car offered is a one California lady owned car from new. Residing in the dryest of climates in Palm Springs, this car shows exceptionally well with less than 70,000 miles from new. The lady’s husband became very wealthy when he sold a medical invention, and this car was given to his wife as a surprise gift. The car was babied and meticulously maintained by her – a substantial file of records accompany the car. The only reason she wanted to sell was that at her age, a car of this size became awkward to drive. The car is mechanically excellent, having been freshly serviced to ready the car for sale. Everything works as it should, including brakes, suspension, steering, and all electrical with cold AC. The electrically operated soft top works perfectly. The striking metallic blue paint is very good with barely a blemish on it. Chrome is also excellent, as are wheels and tires. The soft top in white is also in very good condition with no tears. The interior, in white and blue, is also excellent with very little sign of wear to the seat surfaces, dash, panels and carpet, considering it is the original interior of the car.
