This car is a perfect canidate for a restore..Its hard to find a original car 50 years old in this condition. The engine,Transmission, and complete brake system have all been completly gone thru.Also has a new battery, starter, brake booster, and master cylinder.. Brand new Carlisle fat white wall tires(4 months old). The motor Is a 7.0L out of a 1962 Mercury with a C6 automatic transmission.(the motors the same as the original lincoln motor besides the valve covers that say mercury) The car had this motor in it when I purchased it..Always starts with the snap of a finger everyday! The paint & interior are all Original Its neever been in an accident has no dings or dents..Car has NO RUST. the rear right door has two very small areas of light surface rust.(very minimal)The underside of the car is clean Little to no surface rust.The front bench seat has 4 splits in the seat seams but NOT BAD FOR BEING 50! The rear seat has no rips or splits & is still in great condition.The headliner is in good shape with one small rip by the drivers door sun shade about 3 inches big..All the chromes in great shape & shines.. Windows roll down & doors lock.the radio & antenna work but volume is very low.... all the lights work on the car Has original California black plates. I drive the car almost everyday and it runs great! I dont hesitate to drive it anywere. The car gets alot of smiles & thumbs up..These continentals go for $25000+ restored & even more if its convertable. The most desired years are 61-64 for the suicide door lincolns. The car is already good mechanically now all it needs is a few cosmetics A nice piano black paintjob and some fresh interior & its good to go!!
