Vehicle Detail

Let me start off by saying what I have here is a very rare in excellent condition 1969 Honda CT70 Silver Tag in about 99% original unmolested condition. The bike currently has 1213 original miles on it but that can change by 1 mile because I like to ride up and down my street. The vin# CT70-111620 and engine # CT70E-111328 Before I go into more specifics, I'll let you know to the best of my knowledge whats not original to the bike. 1. I replaced the original tires and tubes with a new set off Bridgestone Trail Wings2. The rear black brake lever was replaced with a CHP motorsports reproduction lever.3. New sealed maintenance free battery.4. Fuel lines5. Set of cable ties on the bars6. Intake boot from carb to airbox7. Carb was cleaned and replaced a couple of the carb screws with brass ones. Now about the overall condition of the bike. Mechanically the bike runs perfect. She fires up on the first or second kick and idles smoothly. The motor does not smoke at all and appears to have great compression. She drives straight and shifts smoothly through all the gears. The horn, lights high and low beam, taillight and brake light all function as they should. The paint is in excellent condition and is still very glossy and bright for a 43 year old bike as the pictures show. Understand there is a chip here and their but they are all very minimal. The headlight bucket is not cracked or broken but is faded a bit. There is one spot on the headlight bucket were the cables were rubbing the paint off about 2 inches long and 1/2 centimeter wide I touched that up with a sharpie because it looks much better then the yellowish color underneath. You can see what i'm talking about on the headlight bucket when you look at the up close picture of the silver tag. The chrome is still very nice but does have some fine pitting in it do to its age it almost look like dust particles. The rear fender has a small ding on the pipe side under the seat but can be seen if looking for it. The cables are all still in excellent condition. The decals are in great shape color wise and still look very nice but are coming up in some areas and have some splits in them. The seat and seat pan are still in excellent condition with the seat cover still very pliable not all dried out and cracked. Besides still having the original black front brake lever , black backed horn with front screws , bolted on tool bag holder on seat, taillight wiring through the frame, and whatever other items that might be unique to a Silver Tag. I have the original owners manual in near perfect condition and tool kit. This bike has current registration in the state of California and the original black license plate for the bike. I have the current California title in my name. So their you have it. Your opportunity to own one of the very rare CT70 Silver Tags in near perfect condition. This is the perfect bike to add to a private collection or just be the envy of your friends. A classic bike in this condition doesn't come along everyday. Remember bikes can be restored over and over again but their only original once.Bid with confidence you can see I have sold these before.
