Vehicle Detail
This a real "beater". Selling for parts or as a fixer-upper. I do drive it a couple times a week. It needs more things than I can afford. 1) Seller told me upon pickup that the tie rods were "rusted out", and he gave me two replacements. Said it was his daily driver, but after I had the squeaky brakes checked out, mechanic told me it had been sitting a long time, and all the brakes were rusted out too. I was able to replace the rear brakes ($470.00), but not the front ones- so those will have to be replaced. 2) Passenger side and trunk door keyholes are gouged out. But you can totally secure all doors by locking the driver's side door from the outside. 3) Car has some kind of 'electrical drain'; even after purchasing a new battery ($150.00) if left to sit, it gets weaker and weaker- enough 'juice' to start the car, but not enough to power headlights, windshield wipers, fans, etc. Even charging it with a portable charger doesn't get it up to snuff. And this all changes from trip to trip. 4) There is no headliner; just plywood, discolored in spots which may indicate roof leakage. 5) There is a radio but doesn't work. 6) front seat leather is shredded; back seats are okay but different color. 7) Car was originally equipped for air, but belt is off. Also, the fuse that controls the A/C and the heater fan looks 'burnt-out', like it blew once. 8) one of headlights is burnt out. Also various interior lights burnt out. 9) muffler is loud, even after I ahd part of it replaced. There must be other holes in the system, because it's still a bit loud. 10) interior trim is loose with age, and sort of rattles when you roll. Interior trim around trunk door is just taped on, not screwed together. Altogether, this is a loud car. 11) Some good-sized rust spots on passenger side doors. 12) various dings, scratches and dents typical for a 25-yr. old car. Pluses: Tires are good. Ride is steady. Starts decent. No oil leaks or any other fluid leaks. As mentioned, I don't have the resources for repairs, so I'm passing this on. I recommend shipping or hauling, due to the unreliable nature of the electrical system. Highest bidder owns it. Couldn't post pics on Ebay because my browser is too old. So here's a link to my Flickr page with photos of the car: http://www.flickr.com/photos/45647037@N05/
