These VW vans are getting harder and harder to find. This is a good one. The engine is clean - it was rebuilt and has only 31,434 miles on the new engine. The original vehicle mileage is 169,576. The two rear tires have only 400 miles on them. It has a brand new carburetor and fuel pump. The camping interior is in very good condition and includes a bed that folds up as a couch, a fold-down table, cabinets and shelves. Some of the cabinets were removed in order create a large bed area. The vehicle has one regular window and one louvered window on each side. There are curtains all around the cabin side and back windows. Vehicle is sold "as is" - body has rust in a number of places, including under the windshield and on the rear bumper. Front seat covers are very worn. Part of the plywood flooring was removed and replaced with carpet. Passenger door can only be opened from the inside. The exterior paint is lightly sun-damaged. I took photos of this wear-and-tear so you can see. Rear hatch has to be closed hard to shut it. The vehicle can stall when the clutch is released in low gear, unless you are careful with the throttle - this happened since the new carburetor was installed (it may be the idle, throttle positioning or vacuum advance.) It is a classic, and a running vehicle in good shape for its age. It wouldn't take a lot to tune it up, and it's likely to go up in value.
