We've gone through a lot of these and have generally been very pleased. People buy them to drive, because they get great fuel economy, and this one has just freeway mileage so it's got a ways to go yet. The van looks super nice, everything appears original, it runs and drives great and needs nothing. It was probably a courier and hasn't been used for heavy work, so the interior is also super nice. This is a great affordable work van and the price is very fair. exterior This van is in very clean original condition. It hasn't seen any road salt. It spent its' life in New Mexico, and we don't salt the roads here either. The wheel covers look ok and the tires have pretty good tread. They're fine to drive on for a bit, just not new. These are little 15"s, so they're inexpensive when you do need them. The doors all open and close easily, everything matches, lines up, and looks original. It has a clean history report, no accidents. The van has some light road wear on the front end, specifically the hood, there's a tiny bit on the rockers and trim and the windshield has 3 chips. If you want a new one, our cost is $150. The photos document it well, hard to believe the mileage. interior The interior is super clean. It hasn't been smoked in, smells pleasant. The upholstery is excellent, you can see it just has freeway mileage because the bolsters aren't all worn from getting in and out a lot. The carpet is good, doors fine, and cargo space is very decent. We had the left rear cargo door panel off to replace the hinge catch which was bad, it's been sorted now. We have 1 key with remote, the manuals, and original floor mats. This is an XLT and very well equipped, everything else works. These Transits are really neat inside, far more like European cargo vans than American. It's nice to drive. mechanical We've inspected, serviced and detailed this guy and it's ready to go. It came in with a very very slight miss at warm idle, and on inspection, we found a worn intake valve, so we pulled the head and replaced it with one that had less than half the mileage. When that was done, valve cover and head gaskets were replaced, oil/filter, and new head bolts of course too. We've put 15 or so miles on it and it drove perfect, city and highway. It idles smooth, drives straight, shifts easy and feels very solid. The low tire light is on, but it has good pressure in all the tires, probably needs reset. The transmission fluid looks very clean and it shifts great. The brake pad life is fine, belt and hoses good.
