Up for auction is a rare 1966 IH Scout Sportop. This is a project truck needing complete restoration. The Sportop was only made between 1966 and 1967 and is very collectable and desirable among Scout fans. The truck has the optional 4 speed transmission and 4 wheel drive with the 152 engine. This guy came with the upgraded extra cost soft top and does not have the standard fiberglass hard top. The truck is very complete including the specialized curved interior trim pieces and the front console shifter cowl. The areas that are typically rust-prone, alongwith the floors and truck bed areas have been replaced with new metal. The body straightening has been started but is far from completed. The floors need to be sealed. The project truck comes complete with the majority of the required parts for reassembly, including wiring harness, gauges, radio, and new plastic fuel tanks with installed sending units, window regulators, reupholstered front and rear seats and door panels. There are lots of required parts that come with the successful bid. I am not stating everything is there but it is very complete. The truck has not run for at least 3 years but the previous owner indicated it ran well. This is an as-is bid so look at the pictures closely and ask any questions prior to bidding. The truck does not currently run and will need to be transported by trailer along with all of the parts by the successful bidder at the buyer’s expense from Columbus, Ohio.This is a very nice solid rare Scout that is begging for restoration.
