Vehicle Detail

Barn Find 1965 Mustang Fastback 2 ownerVery little rustNo Reserve!I am selling this for my Dad who bought the car with the intention of restoring it. Things have changed and he has decided to sell the car and let someone else enjoy it. The woman he bought the car from had it stored on the side of her house for the last 15 years and drove it very little. If I remember right, she had owned the car since the 70's. The car is in great shape and will be a perfect candidate for a restoration. There is very little rust except in the usual spots. The rear quarters and front lower fenders will need work, while the passenger side floorboard is just starting to show the start of cancer. She also had said the passenger side had been hit lightly at one time, and it can be seen in the bodywork that is failing. All the door panels line up nicely, but the doors will need work as the drivers side does not want to stay latched and the passenger side will not open from the outside (feels like the linkage is not connected which I believe she said she had done to prevent people from breaking in). After we got the car home we added some gas and were able to get the car running for a short time. It did smoke, and when it became hard to keep idling we gave up. The interior is complete, but needs redone. Even the interior lighting works, although it is missing a few of the plastic light covers. All of the glass in the car is in good shape, and the only thing that looks out of place is the valve covers. I understand that when the car was in the shop at one time, the original covers were off and one was driven over. The shop had these on hand and installed them in place of the crushed one. I have tried to take pictures of everything and welcome any questions. Thanks
