Hello, Up for auction is a Lincoln Town Car Limousine! I have owned this car since 2010, It was bought as a project car from a gentleman who said he purchased it years ago for his children and grandchildren to use for proms, dances, partys etc. I just thought it would be very fun to have as well as my children did. We used it quite a few times over the last few years for partys, birthdays and so on my kids love it and it was alot of fun! however with work and working on my home, I never found time to fix it up as I wanted. At the beginning of this year i noticed that it was not shifting right, it took longer to kick in than before and it shifted kind of hard, so after being told 100 things it could be I had a gentleman who claimed he knew about transmissions change the fluid and filter (or so he said) it did seem to help however he told me there was a cable that he was not sure about so he didnt hook it up? so I didnt go any further with him. but i have been told it could be a cable, a vacuum hose, and several other possibilitys , or just needs another tranny! i did find they are pretty common for this type of car if that is what is needed. i also noticed the alt. light was kind of coming on but would go off after i was driving, i had a guy check it and he said he thought the accessories battery was weak from setting and probly just needs a good charge (it has 2 batteries) but i have not done that. It is starting to rust in the middle sections at the bottom and some on rear quarter panels, the tires are in pretty decent shape, the vinyl top is in ok shape for its age but could probably use some attention, the interior is in great shape other than maybe a few nicks here & there, the carpet seems to have came loose in the back and probably needs to be pulled tight into place, power windows & seats, cruise control, all lights work in & out, it has a power glass divider as well as a solid one, front & rear cd players, tv, vcr, a small wet bar area, it has a couple of intercom phones but it was kind of hard to hear in them could be a loose wire or something?, rope lights around ceiling, foot lights etc. it has a 302 v8 and runs really good no noises and does not use any oil to my knowledge (but im sure it could use a fresh change)the gentleman i got it from said it only had 17,000 miles, i found that hard to believe i figured it was 117,000? this car does need some TLC but it would be a great fixer upper!! it floats down the highway like a dream!! I really do hate to sell this car but i also hate to just let it set in the driveway when someone could be fixing it up as it needs!
