This is a 1973 Honda CB550 that has extensive upgrades. It was designed and built to be a pure race bike but, has been reworked and upgraded to make it a very decent street/cafe racer type bike. The bike was last raced in 03 and has since been upgraded to its present configuration. The bike has a Hickman tank, Tommaselli handle bars, and custom rear sets. It also has had the engine completely torn down, head freshened, new starter, new battery, oil pump, clutch and new rings. It has race tires on it at present and they are okay for street riding but, need to be upgraded to new tires if you are going to ride it aggressively. It has a headlight , taillight and brake light but, no horn or turn signals. The wiring is there for these items but, haven't hooked them up. It also has a clear Florida title. I resently had major surgery and my doctor has informed me that it would not be in my best interest to ride motorcycles anymore. I love this bike and would not be selling it if my health were better. This is a bike that will surprise you with all it's power and yet is very agile due to it's race design. You will not be disappointed, in any way, with this bike. It would make a fantastic Xmas present or ?????????? If there are any questions, please don't hesitate to let me know and I will try to answer. It also comes with many, many extra parts for race and street. I have been told by numerous people that this is a CB500 engine. I am listing it by what it says on the title and that is a CB550. If I find out before the auction closes, I will put it on the auction site.
