1994 Dodge Ram 2500 Regular Cab Long Bed 4x4 SLT Hard to Find 12 Valve, 3.50 Gearing, Good Looking Rig, Runs Strong, Good Rubber, Clean No Road Salt Colorado History, One Mean Pickup! year 1994 drive train 4x4 make Dodge ext color Dark Green / Pewter model Ram 2500 int color Tan sub model Standard Cab Long Box 4x4 SLT vin 1B7KF26C9RS652847 engine 5.9 Liter 12 Valve Cummins Turbo Diesel 6-Cyl mileage 270998 transmission Automatic OD stock # AC11923 about This is a hard to find regular cab long box 12 valve 4x4 that's spent its' life here in Colorado and hasn't seen road salt. The paint and body are pretty good for the age and mileage, interior is presentable and it does run out very well. The rig has good rubber on nice aftermarket wheels with a leveling kit. This is a 270k mile pickup and it's not new, she's short a tailgate too, but otherwise quite solid and should be good for a long while to come. You'll dig this one. exterior The paint and body on this pickup are in good shape for an older truck with mileage. It's been waxed and came up shiny. It's original as best we know except the green portion of the hood and roof which we both had stripped and repainted from fade. (Was common on these.) The front bumper had a good ding too, so we replaced all 3 front panels, looks presentable. The truck has a clean history, no accidents. It's been here in Colorado since day one and we don't salt the roads in winter. These pickups were prone to rusting out on the lower front doors and rear fenders, this truck does not have those problems. The wheels look nice, 17"s, and the tires have good even tread, aggressive, but not all choppy. They were rotated regularly and show that the truck doesn't have any significant alignment issues. The front end is actually reasonably tight for an older Dodge. Even when they were new, you kind of had to herd these things on the highway. The windshield is new. There's no tailgate or bed liner. The truck has an aftermarket inexpensive grille. There's some road wear on the lower rockers, few nicks, dings in the roof and a ding in the left cab corner, also small marks and superficial scratches and silver portion of front fenders are starting to fade a hair. The photos show it well. interior The interior is presentable. It doesn't reek of smoke, but there are some marks here and there. We removed everything, pressure washed it, cleaned the nooks and crannies, let it dry for 2 days in the sun and put'r back together. The truck has very decent upholstery, stereo sounds fine, air blows cold and stereo works. I haven't tried the CD player. The cruise works! We have a couple knobs on order for the a/c controls. The headliner is somewhat tired, but not all falling down. This truck has 2 redneck switches. One is an ignition kill switch and the other is for a rheostat that runs down to the transmission wiring to manually lock out the torque converter, we have no idea why this was done. The wiring also runs through the jamb. At this point, we don't intend to mess with what's there since it's working at present. mechanical This pickup runs out well. It starts easy and should, these old 12 valves are very simple mechanical creatures and not prone to hard cold starts like Fords and later model vehicles. The truck idles smooth and has good batteries, fires easy. I don't think the injector pump is tired, it seems responsive for how many miles the truck has. The engine purrs along, nice and smooth. It has some blow by when cold, but not an excessive smoker. When it's warm and you're hard on it, the truck does blow a fair amount of black smoke, may have had the pump adjusted. It does have exhaust and sounds mean. We changed the oil, filter, and the fuel level tank sender. The truck drives fine for what it is, feels solid and should be good for a long while to come yet. comments This is a neat pickup and a rare find! We guarantee clean title. Just because you are the high bidder doesn't mean you have the vehicle reserved. EBay allows us the option of ending auctions early because all vehicle are for sale at any point during the auction.
