Vehicle Detail
For bid is a 1929 Ford Model A Tudor Sedan. This is an all original all steel car that needs to be restored due to an interior fire. The complete interior, wiring, and glass will need replacing along with all the wood. The floor was untouched by the fire. The body does not have any rust holes or previous patches but does have some warpage from the fire. The frame, motor, transmission appear to be untouched. I have not tried to start the car. This would be an excellent restoration project or street rod project. I have a clear Indiana salvage title for the car. No trades, I have too many cars now. Buyer pays shipping shipping fees. Please email any questions before bidding. On Dec-05-12 at 17:15:29 PST, seller added the following information: I have received many questions about this car. Many are asking about the "warpage" I mentioned. When the interior burned the metal was heated and expanded. As the water was sprayed on the body it cooled and in places the metal sunk in or warped. Some of these areas will just pop back out when pressure is applied from inside, other might need a tap or two. Some areas will need a hammer and dolly. I have added 4 photos from the day I brought the car home. This may give some of you a better idea of the damaged areas. I spent about 12 hours on the drivers side with a hammer, dolly, and DA sander. The rust comes off fairly easy. I started on the rear panel but did not get as far as I did on the side. Some may prefer to sand blast the rust then work the metal. Doors and hood open as they should. It appears this had been a nice restored car. Not a show car, but a good driver quality car. I believe State Farm paid a claim of $20,000 on the car. I hope this helps to answer everyone's questions. I do have the spare as shown but the backside of the tire burned.
