Vehicle Detail

I just came across a 1971 Chevy Nova 307 cu.in. Turbo 350 trans. original paint car with 96,680 original miles. It has the original jack and all parts including the retaining nut to hold the jack in it's proper place. It starts right up and idles smoothly. It doesn't smoke, knock or rattle even after sitting for days. The fan and heat controls work and the fan works properly. The car has a 2008 plate on it??? I have not washed nor removed anything from the car since I purchased it. I test drove it today for about two miles. It ran perfectly and the transmission shifted flawlessly, including kicking down into passing gear( 2nd), when I nailed the throttle a couple of times. All of the gas has been removed and replaced with four gallons of freah fuel. There are scrapes and bruishes on the car, but it is a 1971. The battery box is rusted badly, the positive & negative cables need to be replaced. The emergency brake works, the regular brakes do not. I haven't added any brake fluid to see where the problem lies. I would imagine that it is a brake line rusted out. The inside of the trunk is solid. I haven't been under the car yet, but the guy who sold it to me said that it was solid. I bought it to help the guy out. I am a Mopar guy and I don't have a need for the car. With brakes, battery and tires, the car would make a daily driver. The tires are Dry rotted, but hold air for several days at a time and the battery goes down overnight, but does take a charge and the alternator works to keep the battery up while driving. I didn't pay a lot for the car and I just want to make a small profit. I am going to put the car in at NO RESERVE, just over what I paid for it. Good luck bidding. I just went under the car and the floor pans and sub frame are solid. No visible rust areas that could become a problem. Floor pans look very good. Pictures are available is anyone wishes to email me. Thank you again. PJ PJSIXPACK@AOL.COM
