Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a very rare Plymouth Satellite Sport Wagon. This one is a true survivor, "barn find" as its been sitting for many years. Unmolested and in its original paint, interior, etc-its just waiting to be carefully brought back to the road. Vintage Mopar wagons are rare and Satellite Sport Wagons are one of the rarest Mopar wagons. This wagon has some great options like AC, hidden third row seating, power rear window, a dual opening rear lift gate/door. I haven't had time to try and start the engine(original 318), but the engine turns freely via the original keys. I will probably flush the fuel, change fluids and see if it starts this week. I will post results before auction end. When a battery was hooked up, the lights work, signals work, the rear power window goes up and down nicely, etc. This wagon would be ideal for a Super Stock tribute, a "cackle fest" support vehicle of simply a cool parts runner of family surf wagon. As the Satellite is basically a Roadrunner, it would be a simple bolt-on exercise to create a Road Runner wagon(or GTX for that matter). The great thing about this wagon is the survivor condition. Everything is original. There is nothing to hide as the original paint is there as is the interior. Most of these old Mopar wagons have been abused, crashed and experienced major rust issues. This wagon, incredibly, is rust free. That's right, the floor pans, the fenders, sills, firewall, frame-even the spare tire well and rear lift gate/door are free of rust. I looked over the wagon closely and found one very small spot of rust at the rt rear door, where a drain plugged-thats it! What a great starting point for a pure resto, a 440 Magnum powered restomod(or how about a modern Hemi?) or a vintage Max Wedge powered super stock tribute. The possibilities are endless with such a great starting point. Don't miss this one-when was the last time you saw any Satellite Sport Wagon for sale-much less one as nice as this one? As stated, the engine hasn't been started yet so I can't verify the condition of the trans, etc. It rolls freely and steers fine and all the electrical seems to work fine. As it has sat for so long, obviously everything should be gone through before returning to the road. This great Mopar is offered at no reserve, don't miss this rare one and thanks for bidding.
