Up for auction is a 1962 Triumph Pre Unit TR 6 SS. This is the last year for the pre unit.I purchased this bike with the intention of restoring it but I have decided to sell to fund other projects. I was told this bike was purchased in mid 1962, and driven until 1967, when it was parked. I was told this is the actual mileage but I cannot verify it. This is one of the most complete bikes I have seen for being 50 years old. The motor turn over and has good compression. I have not checked the spark. The only thins I am aware of that are missing is the Head Stays, the Chain guard, air cleaner. Look over the bike and you will see it is almost all there. Previous owner chromed the oil tank, and the side cove. The oil tank has a broken weld where it mount to the frame. The gas tank needs to be cleaned and sealed as there is rust inside. The outside looks to have been repaired at some time as there is primer on the top back of the tank.The gauges look to be the original that came with the bike.If you have any questions, ask before bidding.
