1976 Jaguar XJ12C Rare, Rare, Rare! This beautiful navy blue V12 Jaguar coupe has a rust free body, and is completely original including paint and black top. The car is not running and the engine and transmission are out of the car and not included. The car is a rolling functioning chassis ready for a engine install. The chrome, body, tires, rear-end, under carriage, engine compartment, and interior are in excellent shape and with the exception of the engine, trans and steering wheel the car is complete and all chrome bits and emblems are there. I would recommend a re-spray as there are blemishes in the paint from storage, however the car now is original paint. The previous owner wanted to install a V8 drive train and the project was never started. The engine bay is very clean and when the original motor was removed, great care was taken so that hoses, lines and wires were not cut, just unscrewed or disconnected. It would be very simple to reinstall another V12 motor and have a great car. There is a running XJ12 engine (that's right running - the guy will start it up for you right there on the stand... pretty cool) with an attached automatic trans for sale in south Dakota for $1200 that will go right in this car on Craigslist. U-Ship will get it to California for $414.00 if anyone is interested. If you take a look at some of my other auctions you will see a running XJSHE for sale. This was going to be my donor car and is a bargain for that type of a performance power plant. These cars when complete fetch upwards of $25,000.00. You can pick this one up for a little more than 10% of that. The car has been in dry storage for years, and would make a great father son project. The tires are good and the alloy wheels are off of a later XJ series car. The stock steel wheels for the purists are available from time to time for a bout 25$ each. This car is loaded - power steering, power windows, power brakes, automatic, independent 4 wheel suspension, inboard rear disc brakes, twin fuel tanks, and multiple piston front wheel disc brakes. This chassis won all the awards for being the smoothest and quietest riding car, comparative to the Rolls Royce's at a fraction of the cost. Today's Jaguars incomparable ride started with the invent of this car. The short wheel base V12 coupe was the epitome of every executive that had one, and with its low production numbers this V12 Jag coupe is already being sought after from collectors and enthusiasts. The factory cross members and frame can handle enormous amounts of torque and horsepower, so if retro mod is your thing this would be a great candidate. This car is offered at a modest reserve and will be a great investment for the first time buyer as well as the seasoned jag club member.
