Vehicle Detail

1970 Dodge Challenger440+6 Project!Being Offered With NO RESERVEThis Challenger Comes With A Fender Tag And Transferable Registration No matter where you're at, every car enthusiast wishes they knew then what they know now and no matter how hard you search, you can't find anyone that knew then what they know now.....but guess what?? I found someone. The gentleman I met the other day, knew exactly what these cars were back when these cars weren't worth anything. To my eyes, this was the single most largest collection of MOPARS I have ever seen. And for this gentleman, it was MOPAR or NO CAR!! All the legendary names as Cuda, Challenger, Charger, Coronet, Super Bee, Roadrunner and the infamous HEMI were common place in this feild of dreams. Its amazing, back in the late 70's these cars were up on blocks in neighbor's driveway, collecting dust and developing rust. That driveway was the liason between the hay day and the junk yard resting ground. Today we all wish we had the cars from the greatest era of automotive history....the muscle car era. This MOPAR gentlaman knows he's not getting any younger and he waited until the right time to open his vault and let a select few in. I am just one of the fortunate ones I guess. However, I'm passing this great oppurtunity along to you. These cars can't die and like all of those cars resting in that yard, they need to see their hay day again and be seen the way they were intially intended....a strong, powerfull and colorful, muscle car. This will be the first of hopefully many MOPARS from that collection to be offered here on ebay. Please read on about this MOPAR classic for an honest, "AS WE SEE IT" description. Thank you for visiting our auction and good luck bidding. Vin Number: JH23G0B220393 Fender Tag In Order From Left To Right Top To Bottom Reads: R11, V7W, Y05, 26, EN1, G33, H5, J45, M21, M31,N85, V1W, A04, A62, A63, C16, C55, FK5,H6K4, 000, C15, 046188, E44, D31, JH23, GOB, 220393 Also appears there may have been a secound fender tag. Exterior: As the car sits, its an Challanger with R/T badging and a 440 Six Pack under the hood, But originally this was a factory 318 car in a popular MOPAR blue color. Along its life the previous owner or owners have painted the car HEMI orange and stuffed a 440 with a 6 pack carb set up(more about the motor below). The body is rough and shows a very ammature mid 80's restoration. It appears to be a laquer paint job along with a lot of skim coating. It also appears as though a vinyl top once covered the roof. The floors and sub frames are solid however the trunk pan will need to be replaced or patched around the spare tire. There are dents and dings apparent through out the body panels but nothing major. The car could utilize a full body restoration but using it as a driver or show queen is up to you. All the chrome and stainless is old but original. The glass is good except for the windsheld has been cracked. Has aftermarket aluminum wheels and tires that have some age but good tred. The car was last on the road around 2007 and was driven into this mass collection. The car needs some work but is all there and has the ingredients to be a mean, powerful big block, resto/mod muscle car. Please look at the detailed pictures below and let us know of any questions. Interior: The interior is in need of restoration. There are plenty of cob webs along with rips and tears. It does look like the carpet was replaced some time ago, however but if you're going to do it you might as well do it right. Its obvious from the pictures, this car has been sitting some time and the interior proves that. The pictures says it all. We took as many pictures as we could to depict the condition of the interior. Please let us know of any questions you may have, but lets assume a full restoration to the interior. Drivetrain: As I said earlier, this car was an originally a Challenger "H" code 318 2 bbl with 230 Horse. Well, we assume at the time of the restoration, that original 318 was removed and a 70's 440 with a 6 pack set up in it. We were told that the motor was freshened before installed and was driven into his "feild of dreams" and sat from 2007. The 727 torque flite transmission was completely rebuilt in the early 2000's. We did not even try to start the car, however we did verify that the engine is NOT seized and does turn at the crank.
