Vehicle Detail
2004 Silverado 2500HD, 4x4, Bi-Fuel (CNG & gasoline) If you prefer not to read this long vehicle description, just read this: This truck is like new in every possible way. When I say “like new”, I really mean it. The truck has 67,700 miles, and the completely rebuilt engine with less than a 100 miles. Call Boba (661-533-9331) Unless you insist on spending $35k for a brand new dual fuel truck this, take a good look at my beautiful beast. More details: Why do I call it awesome? - The rebuilt engine has less than 100 miles This means: new pistons, new valves, new bearings, new oil pump, … new everything - There is one year or 12k miles warranty on the work done on engine. - The rest of the truck has only 67,700 miles - Mechanically, truck is in more than superb condition - There quite a few dents and dings in and out of the truck bed. Nevertheless, truck looks very good. Rear bumper is slightly pushed in on the driver side. - Super tight automatic transmission - Four Kelly Safari TSR tires in near new condition. (Cost more than $900) - ABS - AC works perfectly well. - Power windows, locks, and mirrors - Long bed (8 feet) - Bedliner - NO RUST anywhere - I saved most of the old parts as the proof of rebuilding - NOTE: I completely rebuilt the engine, although I did not have to. The valve job would have been sufficient. Nevertheless, I allowed my mechanic to talk me into spending a lot of money for something I really did not need. After the rebuild was done, I found out that the engine had only one big problem: intake valve on the third cylinder. Call Boba 661-533-9331 About the CNG - The CNG system was designed by Quantum Fuel Systems. - Tank Volume: 63gal = 17 gge (gasoline gallon equivalent of CNG) - CNG tank (type 2) expires in 2019. - System pressure 3600psi - 2006 Silverado 2500HD has a 34gal gasoline tank. The range is simultaneously huge, gigantic, and colossal: On open road: 16x17+32x17=816 miles In regular driving: 16x13+32x13=624 miles Of course, accuracy of this calculation depends on fill up pressure. If the fill up pressure is at 3600psi, it is reasonable to expect at least 16gge from the CNG tank. If the fill up pressure is significantly lower then 3600psi, the tank will yield less then 16gge of CNG. Boba 661-533-9331 Why use CNG? - At the moment, Gasoline Gallon Equivalent (gge) of CNG is more than dollar and a half cheaper than regular gasoline. This means: by using CNG you will save about $1,600 or more for every 13,000 miles. - Once more: the SAVINGS ARE $1600 or more for EVERY 13,000 MILES or 12 cents per mile. - CNG burns super cleanly. It does not leave any deposits in cylinders or on valves. Therefore, CNG engines have a long and trouble free life. - There are more and more CNG stations all around the country. Call me to find out how to find them. Boba 661-533-9331 Conclusion This is an AWESOME work truck. There is nothing to fix or restore; turn the key, start WORKING and SAVING in the same time. Once more: I rebuilt the engine and fixed all of the mechanical problems. Therefore I can confidently say: mechanically, this truck is virtually new. Boba 661-533-9331 On Dec-03-12 at 15:40:33 PST, seller added the following information: Important Explanation: I completely rebuilt the engine, although I did not have to. The valve job would have been sufficient. Nevertheless, I allowed my mechanic to talk me into spending a lot of money for something I really did not need. After the overhaul was done, I found out that the engine had only one big problem: intake valve on the third cylinder. I could have gotten away with far less than $5k. On the upside, I have practically brand new engine now, and my mechanic can easily make his next mortgage payment. On Dec-07-12 at 22:49:04 PST, seller added the following information: I forgot, the truck has new exhaust system: all four new catalytic converters and new muffler.
