I have just purchased a 1960 Corvette project and all of my other projects must go, I have several other vehicles listed. One family owned since new. I am selling my 56 Chrysler, my great uncle bought it new in Columbus Ga and sold to his brother, my grandfather, in Albany GA in 1960. He died in 1998 and I have had it since. It was running and driving when I got it and I drove it several times a year up until 3-4 years ago. This car would make a great restoration project, everything is there. It has been stored in a garage or shelter since new. The right side was exposed to the open side of the shelter for the last few years my grandfather had it and the rain water splashed up on the side and has caused some rust in the bottom of the passenger front door and the bottom of the rt rear quarter, there is not a lot of rust on the car other than that. I believe the engine is a 331 polyspherical (Spitfire) and it has a two speed power flight automatic. All of the drive train components are original to the car and have never been removed. The car needs a complete restoration and is not driveable, I stopped driving it when the brake fluid leaked out and it no longer had brakes, other than the brakes the engine and power flight transmission were working fine when I parked it. I jumped it the other day and the engine turns fine, it was not firing, so I think the points are probably dirty. I dont think it would take a lot of effort to get it running but with my job and too many other projects I just dont have time to spend on it. I really hate to sell the car but I dont think I will ever get around to restoring it and I dont want it to just go to waste. Shipping will be up to the purchaser, I will assist with loading as much as possible. There is no title, Georgia does not require a title on vehicles before 1985, I will provide a bill of sale at the time of pickup. Email any questions and I will try to answer as soon as possible.
