For sale is a 1978 VW Westfalia camper. I bought it about 10 years ago from someone who bought after it was in storage for about 10 years. It was originally from Florida and still had a Florida sticker on the windshield. Since I bought it, I put new tires and rims on, a new windshield, had the engine rebuilt and put a new canvas top on the pop-up part of it. It was originally fuel injected but someone put a carburetor on it before I bought it. When I bought it, I put a brand new carburetor and intake on it and tuned it up. When I bought it, the odometer read 78000 and I have no idea if it was 78, or 178. At that time the fuel gauge and speedometer needle were broken so I changed the instrument cluster. It now reads 47540 so the true mileage is unknown, but I probably haven’t driven it more than 500 miles since I owned it. I have the original instrument cluster that will go to the buyer. The van runs and drives good and it is just about all original. The only problem that I know of with it is that the battery tray is rusting through and the pump is not working for the sink. I replaced the pump and it was working for a while so it could be the switch. It still has the original paint and is rusting is spots and there is a dent in the sliding door. It has never been driven in the winter and was kept in the garage most of the time. I would be happy to take more pictures if you are looking for a photo of something specific. The interior is original and good for its age except for rips in the driver’s seat and the seat padding deteriorating.
